All schools on the editorial page
Sunday’s editorial page was all about Dayton schools. Don’t miss:
—An editorial that hails the Dayton Early College Academy’s first graduating class.
—Editorial Page Editor Ellen Belcher’s column urging community support for Dayton schools.
—Letters to the editor complaining some more about the Dayton school levy.

DPS teacher: I’m sure they will do the same thing they did years ago when there was a RIF. The principal will call you in, say they are sorry, hand you a pink slip (really), ask you to sign that you received the notice then tell you to try and have a nice day. Then the day (and the rest of the school year) go on as usual- at least for them. Good luck!By dps teacher

Scott, are you going to the board meeting tonight? I will assume you are and I hope that you will write about the meeting as soon as you are able. I am on the chopping block and would like to get an idea of what to expect when I go into work tomorrow. Thanks.By Eve

Actually, I think they were complaining as much about the coverage as the levy itself.By Mary

I thought the “all school” theme on the editorial page was interesting. I believe the public is finally reaching critical mass for some major changes in the education system. The “all school” theme reflects that. More people seem to be more aware of, and engaged in, various education issues.
