Memories of Dayton

James Williams

For those of you who just can’t get enough of former Superintendent James Williams, a Buffalo-based website has a two-part epic looking at his career, including a long recap of his time in Dayton and revelations about what a shallow job the Buffalo school board did researching Williams before hiring him.

Williams has now pulled out of the running for superintendent in Memphis and is under fire back home in Buffalo. Hmmm. That sounds so familiar.

Oh Please, make him go away. My eyes are burning, they’re melting…I am sure to have nightmares. Make him disappear, never to be brought up again.

Williams is a flim-flam man. He gets support from some simple-minded folk for a while as shown in the articles linked by Scott in this article. They are tremendously good reading. Can we get that guy to come here to analyze the current DPS group? And what they’ve been doing?

The teachers union in Buffalo doesn’t like Mr. Williams any more than the Dayton teachers union did. The Buffalo ecomony has similar issues that face Dayton. This James Williams quote applies to both cities. “There are no jobs for high school dropouts, drug addicts and criminals, for guys wearing their pants around their ankles, with tattoos all over their bodies.” Many want to kill the messenger.
