CJ’s Walker third-team All-USA Today pick

The honors just keep pouring in for Samarie Walker.

The Chaminade Julienne High School senior was named third-team All-USA Today this week.

The 6-foot-1 G/F/C averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Eagles this past season.

She has signed to play at two-time defending national champion UConn.

Whoever rates players for USA Today obviously didn’t see Samarie play this year. Nice honor, but she wasn’t the best player in Dayton this year.

Yeah your right, she played with a miniscus tear, still put up good numbers, playing against the best comp…please tell me the dayton area player who was better? And regardless of statistics is a better player?

She’s good and all, but I watched her play at CJ. She’s not that much to talk about. Definitely not what I expected from a UConn recuit. Sorry…

Who had better year high school years this season that Samarie - Ashley Christie (Alter), Cassie Sant (Fairmont), Kacie Cassell (Vandalai), Courtney Boyd (Brookville). And don’t give me the CJ played a tough schedule crap. Samarie is a great player but she earned her honors for AAU play and not high school play. Hope she has a great career at UConn, but you expect a UConn recruit to dominate in high school and she didn’t. An opinion shared by many I’m sure.
