Wayne’s Braxton Miller featured in Sports Illustrated

Wayne High School senior quarterback Braxton Miller has an entire page of the Aug. 2-9 edition of Sports Illustrated to himself.

He’s among 16 up-and-coming high school athletes throughout the nation who are featured in a spread labeled “Where Will they Be?” It’s a neat companion package to SI’s “Where Are they Now?” summer double issue that features Stan Musial on the cover.

Miller, 6-3, 200 pounds, is the No. 1 QB prospect in the nation according to Scout.com and among the top QB’s in nearly every scouting service. He verbally committed to Ohio State University last spring.

He’s featured on Page 118.

Wow ! The Buckeyes have # 1 QB Terrelle Pryor and now # 1 QB Braxton Miller ….the future is looking awesome ! I can remember when Chris Spielman of the Massillon Tigers was featured on a Wheaties Box while in High School …. Go Buckeyes !

yeah I’m praying Trey makes the right decision. He’s almost guarenteed a started job for a great football program coming out his freshman year w/ two of our linebackers leaving after 2010 vs. warming a bench for the first year or two at bama. I look forward to seeing Braxton play! His high school highlights are impressive. Hopefully we can land DePreist too and have the best offensive AND defensive recruit in Ohio playing for Ohio State.

Braxton Miller is overrated. lets just see how well he does this year. If he leads his team to the playoffs then I eat my words. Pryor is not that great of QB either. Both kids can run but they can’t stay in the pocket and make a good pass. Both have poor mechanics.Lets stop making these kids out to be great before they can prove it at the next level. DePreist is overrated also.

Certainly glad the Buckeyes got a verbal from Braxton Miller the # 1 QB prospect in High School …. Go Bucks ! Looks like the Buckeyes may lose Trey Priest a 2011 LB who like Jordan Hicks a LB in 2010 to the Texas Longhorns . TOhioStateUnivresity is Linebacker ’ U ’ but becoming QB ’ U ’ ..Go Sweater Vest !

No surprise with DePriest. He really committed more to Saban than Alabama. The kid grew up a fan of TTUN, if that tells you anything. OSU is loaded with LB talent, and he knew he wasn’t going to play at OSU as a frosh.
