Butler’s Ryne Pugh signs to play football at Butler
Vandalia Butler High School senior Ryne Pugh has signed to play football at Butler University.
A three-year regular, Pugh started at quarterback the last two seasons for the Aviators. He was the team’s MVP as a junior and was All-GWOC North second team the last two seasons.
He completed 76 of 149 passes (51 percent) for 990 yards, 11 touchdowns and six interceptions last fall for Butler (6-4).
He is listed as an “athlete” recruit for the Bulldogs. He is expected to any combination of QB, wide receiver and defensive back.
He also is a three-year starter on the basketball team, owns the school record for 3-point shooting percentage and has led the team in steals the last two seasons.

I’ve seen this young man grow up. He has a great work ethic and is a great competitor. Good luck.
