What’s on the grill?
So, the weekend is here and it’ll be perfect for grilling…
Maybe we’ll marinate some chicken in Italian dressing and herbs (usually a bit of garlic powder, paprika, oregano) and grill it up just right… Sizzle, sizzle…
What’s on the barbie at your place this weekend? Tell, tell …

If you’re going to Germantown …
Mark Fisher’s Restaurant Week Tour hit Rudy’s Churrascaria in Germantown mid-week. Rudy’s is new in town, a Brazilian steakhouse that’s still getting its sea legs but which, in Mark’s opinion, has great potential.
His mention of Germantown got me to thinking about one of my favorite places — right across the street from Rudy’s.
Yeah, I’m talking about Laff’s, where the front window warns, “No Crybabies Allowed” and proudly advertises, “Warm Beer, Lousy Food.”
It’s a small-town bar at its best, with — sorry guys — cold beer and great food, especially the wings and the waffle fries. If you happen in on Friday while karaoke’s going on, you’ll hear some of the best voices this side of heaven.
Laff’s 2 E Center St, Germanton (937) 855-2530
