The bong is a decorative piece, officer
ENGLEWOOD Sept. 30 Officers responded to a loud music complaint in the 700 block of Union Road and heard the noise as they approached the apartment.
They also heard subjects stating, “The cops are here.” The subjects then started speaking in hushed tones.
As the tenant exited the apartment at the officer’s request, a bong was observed on the entertainment center. He was instructed to put it on the porch. He complied.
The officer explained that they were there because of the loud music and the tenant was arrested for the noise and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He told officers he keeps the bong for decoration and allows his friends or family to smoke out of it when they come to visit.
Three subjects in the apartment were arrested on outstanding warrants.
