An uncommon courtesy
Want to get a school levy passed?
Use an old idea: Say thank you.
If you drive around the Northmont area today, you’ll see lots of campaign signs that asked for your vote on a levy renewal. Last night, voters approved that levy, 3,475 to 1,435.
This morning next to the campaign signs was a second sign that read, “Thank You.”
Simple, effective communications. An acknowledgment of who is paying the bills. Paying the bills when times are tough.
Getting a renewal passed is no great feat. But Northmont and other districts in the Miami Valley will be coming back in the next few years asking for more money to build new schools, upgrade their existing buildings or simply keep the doors open.
Perhaps the district’s courtesy will be remembered in a future election.

Xenia - get a clue. The location for the new school is so far out of town and away from everything. Why do you want to build a new school so far away from downtown?
