Michelle Obama to address Baptist group in Cincinnati

Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, will be in Cincinnati on Wednesday, Sept. 10, to speak to the National Baptist Convention.

The group is the nation’s oldest and largest African-American religious convention with an estimated membership of 7.5 million, according to its Web site.

She will speak about the faith and values that have driven Obama as a father, husband and public servant, according to the Obama campaign.

Mrs. Obama also will discuss her husband’s belief that the great challenges our country faces require more than just government action — the change we need also depends on the important role of faith organizations, strong families, and strong communities, the campaign said.

More information on her appearance will be available later, the Obama campaign said.

Fellow Americans, please educate yourselves. America gave communist china super power states when over 12 millions jobs was handed over to them with your votes for Nixon/Reagan/Bush Sr/Clinton/Bush Jr./ Free trade in not free if the communist people is now middle class with our middle class jobs. We are not super power if we have to receive welfare from communist china. We have gone from bailing out McCain keating5 in 1987 $2.5 billion to 2008 $450billion and that does not include the $trillions for 2 wars we will owe china. A communist country loaning with interest money to proop up our stock “housing “market. Once upon a time and many years ago, the label “MADE IN AMERICA” meant quality product. Now poisonous foods and other cheaply made products for our families are killing us yet we still buy them. We keep voting for people who say the blackman is dangerous. How safe are you with this free trade?Your other jobs are now are now in India(Muslim people)Indonesia (Muslim people)Chile, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Japan, England, Scotland, Chile and Columbia. If you still tink we are a super power and we cannot feed and clothes our families with safe products, keep voting the way that you do.

You can tell the election’s coming up from the looks of all the paranoid conspiracy theorists on this board but when I place my vote, I won’t be thinking about Rev. Wright or AIP or ACORN or NRA or pregnant teenagers, I’ll be thinking about the issues. And on the issues, Obama has my vote. From more options in an unmandated healthcare plan, LOWER taxes, smart AND strong national security, energy that focuses a priority on alternative energy rather than just more drilling, and a serious commitment to changes in education (one of our more serious problems that continually gets overlooked by most), I’ll vote for the smart candidate with serious solutions, not just a gimmick and more of the same.

Maybe the Baptists will straighten her out , they seek GOD’S blessings , not Damnation. maybe some up and coming reporter will ask about Tony Rezko , Frank Davis , a known american communist, who mentored Obama, and Obama wrote about him in his book,William Ayers, from the Weather underground, of course that reporter would be fired by most news org’s

Yea - right, ties to AIP is well documented. This is another liberal boogyman. One tie - as Governor she welcomed them to Anchorage for their convention. Gee, how unusual for a Governor. Her husband belongs to the organization in the ’90s. Basically they advocated states right. Much of Alaska is owned by the federal government and they wanted some of it back. Some advocated succession but there is no record the Palin’s did. If we’re going to talk about guilt by association, lets look at Senator Obama. At about the same time, 0bama was launching his political career in the home of an home of an unrepentent terrorist, who as recently as May was described at the Obama campaign website as respective and mainstream. There is also a virtually unexplored association he had with himself with a left wing outfit called ACORN, a well documented and corrupt left wing group who have been convicted of voter fraud among other things. One other note - there is such mock outrage when Republicans appear before religious groups; yet, not a peep with Michele Obama. Personally I have no problem with either - its only the left who takes hyprocracy to new heights.

mwm- your commentary is misguided and inaccurate. Point- we just provided Georgia with $1B to help them rebuild after Russia made a play on their oil pipelines, we aren’t going to let Alaska seperate from our country as Russia. Point- if Palin was PRO CHOICE, she’s have 80% of the female vote. Point- your commnets are so sexist, you must be getting very concerned as the team now leads nationwide in polling. Point- she was never affiliated with the party you make reference. Obama will be pondering for years what to do when Russia, Iran, and Chavez use oil for a weapon. McCain has already put them on notice of his actions to protect our interests.

McCain/ Palin now up to 50% to 46% for NObama. The Dems had so many debates, anyone who enjoys politics knows exactly what the issues are and certainly McCain has laid them out. You want a choice in medical care- McCain provides it. You want national security to prevent global warming from a nuclear attack, McCain provides it. You want a thriving economical turn-around- McCain will provide it by lowering tax, reducing the corporate tax to 20% (we have the highest rate in the world now). You want a hand while migrating to a new job from a lost job, McCain provides it. You want change, real change? McCain will provide it by bringing the bi-partison gridlock to a halt. Look at Senator Kennedy’s efforts for earmarks on the Boston subway which cost about $20B. You want moral judges who don’t legislate from the bench- McCain will provide it. If you want a novice taking his policy from the elite, gay supporting liberal San Francisco nuts, Obama is your man and Russian immigrant Soros, Obama is your guy.

Palin and her families ties to the AIP are well documented. The republicans choose to ignore this. We do not need a separatist in DC. Or anyone that has contempt for our constitution - Like Bush has. The anti-abortion folks would support anyone that was anti-abortion or claims to be anti-abortion. McCain and the republicans use this for votes. The republicans really do not care about the issue. And would be pro-abortion if they could get more votes out of the deal. Dobson now endorses McCain. Mr. “focus on the family” endorses McCain because of Palin. Which is a contradicton. Palin does not even focus on her own family. And will be more focused on her political future instead of her family.

I am sure she will speak about her husband support for the little guy.Except of course if that little guy is a unborn baby in their mothers womb who does not have any rights except to be aborted. When does life begin? That question is beyond her husband paygrade. JOHN McCAIN FOR PRESIDENT

“McCain is now linked with Palin; who had ties to Alaska separatists. The AIP was not exactly America First.” Are you really that dumb? Its amazing what idiotic stories a liberal will believe. All he has to read is a headline off some wack website and all the sudden we have fact. You know i heard there is a story about how John McCain is the father of Saddam. Check it out on www.stupid-stories-any-liberal-will-believe.com. Everytime i get on these blogs, i get depressed about America.

I’m guessing “Stoic” means “Sarah” Palin and “Opry” means “Oprah” (as opposed to the Grand Ol’ Opry). However, I don’t understand what “right” Mrs. Palin has to appear on an interview talk-format television show. I am hopeful that Mrs. Palin will be participating in candidate debates with her opponent, Senator Biden. I do believe the Fairness Doctrine would assure Mrs. Palin “equal time” if Ms. Winfrey or any other broadcast entertainer gave free air time to her opponent.

Is she bringing Wright with her as well? Interesting thoughts she communicated. Rather like George Bush and faith-based initiatives. Indeed, I think she and her husband support Bush more than McCain does. Maybe she’ll be able to express how she continues to love her country after so many years of hating it. I wonder when Opry will have her on her show, after denying Darah Palin that right?
