Not sure how Palin will do at the debate, but I have watched her debate for AK governor on C-span and she was very good then- articulate, well-read on AK issues, tough and well spoken. I think she has stumbled in the recent interviews, sort of like FDR stumbled on TV in 1929!By Todd

Why doesn’t McCain have Palin in another location campaigning while he campaigns in Columbus? Ever notice how they rarely split up as Obama and Biden do? They would be able to cover a lot more ground that way. But no, he knows Palin can’t handle it herself. He also is afraid no one would show up if it was just him. Notice how Biden was on the airwaves after the debate praising Obama and pumping him up? Where was Palin? Not on TV helping McCain. Is it possible the McCain campaign knows she’s a loose cannon so she can’t be allowed off the lease? Remember, McCain’s first important executive decision was to pick Sarah Palin.By mwm

It is McCain running for president. So, he should do the talking. Palin is nothing more than an ornament. She lacks substance and intelligence. Basically, she is clueless. Her role in this election is to sway certain demographics. But, it is not working. People are beginning to see her limitation and inability for the position. Including white women. McCain also has trouble connecting with the public; unless, of course, you are rich or work in the defense industry. He cannot connect with the middle class. The republican party is considered to be evil, wealthy and with criminal intent. The republican candidate for governor in Washington State has listed his political affiliation as “GOP party”, instead of “republican”. There are reasons for that. Even the term “republican” is considered a dirty word.By Ethel S.

Here we go again and now it is Gov. Palin who is supposed to have an affair instead of Hillary Clinton and Vince Foster. If Hillary had not been so “trashed” by the MSM, then these stories might be believable. But these “character attacks” are frankly just trash. And I wish I have half the pep and energy of Sen. John McCain. Vote the strong ticket of McCain/Palin!By nullJohn

I’m curious why people are seating so much over Sarah Palin. Go see her on Monday. She’s cool. Not sure how the debate will go though. I don’t know if she can fake it like Obama and Biden do. Some people are just better at demagoging then others. Go Mccain - PalinBy Jim

This is an awful ticket. Palin is not qualified to be VP. The selection of Sarah Palin amounts to nothing more then a political gimmick. Next Thursday, the genie will be let out of the bottle and everyone will see the poor judgment of John McCain.By hugh

Source: Huffpost.com “The National Enquirer is continuing its foray into politicians’ personal lives this election season. Less than two months after the magazine’s investigation forced John Edwards to admit an extramarital affair with Rielle Hunter, the Enquirer has identified what it calls “Sarah Palin’s Other Man” — Todd Palin’s former business partner, Brad Hanson. According to the Enquirer, the identity of Palin’s extramarital lover was confirmed by “no less than three members of the man’s family including one by sworn affidavit.” One Hanson family insider, Jim Burdett, passed a “rigorous polygraph test,” and went on the record telling the Enquirer, “I’ve known about Brad having had an affair for a long time, but it wasn’t until just recently that I learned his affair was with Sarah Palin.” Another insider, who preferred to remain anonymous but provided the Enquirer with a sworn affidavit attesting to the affair, said, “Todd was away on business a lot and Sarah felt lonely. Brad was a good listener, and Sarah talked to him at length. Eventually, she realized she was falling in love with him.” The Enquirer has also taken credit for the announcement that Bristol Palin is pregnant, claiming that it was “triggered” by the fact that the magazine was about to break the news. More from Around the Web Gawker points out that Brad Hanson resembles Todd Palin. source: CNN 9/26/08 “Jack Cafferty unloaded on Sarah Palin’s “disastrous” interview with Katie Couric Friday afternoon on CNN, telling Wolf Blitzer, “There’s a reason the McCain campaign keeps Governor Palin away from the press.” After showing a clip of Palin stumbling over Couric’s question about the bailout and offering an answer connecting the bailout to healthcare, Cafferty asked, “Did you get that?” He warned the viewers: “If John McCain wins this woman will be one 72-year-old’s heartbeat away from being President of the United States. And if that doesn’t scare the hell out of you, it should.”By anghiari

“Capitol Hill sources are telling me that senior McCain people are more than concerned about Palin. The campaign has held a mock debate and a mock press conference; both are being described as “disastrous.” One senior McCain aide was quoted as saying, “What are we going to do?” The McCain people want to move this first debate to some later, undetermined date, possibly never. People on the inside are saying the Alaska Governor is “clueless.”By Anghiari
