Eye on Ohio: “Foundation” ad for McCain

The ad: “Foundation,” 30 seconds

Producer: McCain campaign

Where to see it: It’s scheduled to be televised nationally.

Script: John McCain: “You, the American workers, are the best in the world. But your economic security has been put at risk by the greed of Wall Street. That’s unacceptable. My opponent’s only solutions are talk and taxes. I’ll reform Wall Street and fix Washington. I’ve taken on tougher guys than this before.
Female Anchor: “Change is coming. John McCain.”
John McCain: “I’m John McCain and I approve this message.”

Video: It opens with McCain speaking to the camera, slowly zooming in on his face and then interspersed with photos of Wall Street, the stock market trading floor and Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Joe Biden. It closes with a photo of McCain talking on a rather large cell phone and then a photo of McCain in front of an American flag with the words “The Original Maverick.”

Analysis: The ad focuses on the slumping economy and workers’ fears about job and investment security. Stylistically, it’s a bit different — none of the typical scary music or grainy black-and-white unflattering photos of the opponent. Instead, McCain speaks directly to the camera and viewers. His only attack on Obama is that his “only solutions are talk and taxes” but the ad reveals no details of how McCain would help the economy.
“I’ll reform Wall Street and fix Washington. I’ve taken on tougher guys than this before,” McCain says with a bit of a grin. McCain, who has been in Washington for 26 years, uses two taglines in the ad: “Change is coming” and “The Original Maverick.”
Behind the scenes, the McCain camp points to the Arizona senator’s push for shareholder approval of corporate chief executives’ pay and severance packages and his pledge to reform laws and regulations governing the oil futures market to curb speculators driving up gas prices, and his efforts to require corporations to list employee stock options as an expense on their financial statements. The Obama campaign this week also released a two-minute video focused on economic security that promises a laundry-list of vague solutions, including tax reform, real regulations for Wall Street and fast-tracking energy independence.

“Everyone in the Wall Street Bailout needs to go to jail.” Well thank god that is exactly where Obama belongs. This man and the democrats are so deep into this problem. They caused the problem, even Bill Clinton said so. Obama continued to push to give low income and illegal aliens housing that he knew they could never pay for. He wanted this to happen it goes right into his plan of changing our country into a country controlled by the government. McCain will continue with sealing the borders and he will continue the raids. Obama welcomes all 40 million illegals to stay in this country and for us to continue to support them. McCain will shrink our government. He has said time and time again the federal government is to big and involved in things the federal government was never inteded by our forefathers. Obama is part of the anti-America groups that want to take down America. America is a great country that is why people flood to get in and to be citizens. Unfortunately there are also people that come here for the advantages not because they want to be Americans. Obama is backed by foreign governments that want America to fail. A vote for Obama is the death of America.

We need a totally different administration. Out with the most corrupt one we’ve ever had that was starting to resemble a rogue dictatorship controlled by special interest groups, instead of acting on the behalf of the American people whose votes were supposed to be why they’re in office. We’ll never know if it was our votes or fraud that created our election end results, due to lack of inspecting and maintaining our voting machines to ensure as much integrity as possible. Time in a prisoner of war camp and being in the military doesn’t make McCain ready for the White House. Bush people are guiding every move McCain & Palin make. If they get into office they will still have the same Bush people in the background. It’s amazing how this administration conjures up enough Panic whenever needed, to rock the world whenever there’s an election. Remember the Duct Tape? Bush wasn’t able to finish fullfilling his promises to the big money that backed his first election win, but McCain will pick up where he left off—like opening the borders, combining Canada & Mexico with the US through NAFTA so the US loses soviernty, and we become one huge mass with one huge 8 football field lengths wide Transportation Corridor cutting our country right down the middle. Social Security hasn’t been dismantled yet, and employers haven’t all dropped employee’s health insurance in favor of privatization. Then there’s ensuring the drug companies have no price competition. If someone has a pre-existing condition, they might as well put a gun to their head. McCain is not about the everyday person. He’s all about businesses and what he does for business is not in the interest of the American people. He has no new ideas and will stay with the oil for as long as possible, as big oil is still big money. We’ll be lucky if we ever see much progress in alternative energy if McCain gets in office. The way he attacks Obama is pitiful and full of panic. Obama is for the American People. People and small businesses will only be taxed more if their income is $250,000 or more, and would be about the same as when Reagan was in office. He never used a special consideration to get into Harvard Law School, became President of the Harvard Law Review, and since becoming a Senator, is running for President because he sees what is wrong in the United States and wants to make a positive change for this country. The focus will become on our country instead of other countries. He is being slammed by the MCCain campaign and it will continue until the election ends. Obama has not assulted MCCain’s character, but that’s ALL McCain has been doing to Obama. He’s got no new ideas—he even stole Obama’s signs till called on it. Then he sends out Bush -Programmed Palin to accuse Obama of associated terrorism. Get real and don’t fall for the corruption that continues from the administration. They can nopt afford to lose and will lie, cheat and steal to keep Obama out of office. Everyone involved in the Wall Street Bailout needs to go to jail, and that means all the way up to Bush. They all knew what was happening and if you notice, they show no remorse. iF YOU WANT MORE BUSH AND MORE CORRUPTION, VOTE MCCAIN.
