Strickland: Ohio in ‘great danger’ of losing 2 congressional seats
Associated Press report
Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland says the state is in “great danger” of losing two congressional seats after the 2010 Census is completed.
Strickland said Thursday he believes Ohio will certainly lose one member in the U.S. House and chances are strong that it could be two.
Ohio was on the brink of losing a representative after the 2000 Census and has since seen its population grow only modestly while many other states have seen much larger gains.
Strickland signed an executive order Thursday establishing the Ohio Complete Count Committee to raise awareness of the upcoming Census. The governor said it’s vital that every resident is counted so the state doesn’t miss out on federal aid or lose more than one representative.

Regarding the above comments, sounds like Arizona- which is why we’re coming back to Ohio. Arizona has no school funding ( ranks LAST in the US -even Mississippi is better, lots of cameras at intersections, state and cities- of either party-who can’t manage their money, guns allowed everywhere, even in church, no decent paying jobs, thanks to the Mexicans who flood into this stat, and the highest foreclosure rate next to Nevada. No middle ground here in politics- left wing screwballs or right wing nutcases- courtesy of the Arizona sun- Oh, did I forget? No habla anglais in Arizona- welcome to illegal country. Stop whining about Ohio, get off your collective rear ends and do something constructive to help the state because it could be worseBy rj

Strickland does not need to worry, he has a no voter base - illegal immigrants. Strickland even ensures they get driver’s licenses. He just needs to make sure they get counted during the census. Strickland is a power hungry socialist governor that is anti-business. Hard working American citizens know there are no jobs in Ohio and no freedoms. Strickland will think for you and take care of you.By foster

Ohio lost it’s luster in the 90’s. Union influence and shoddy products set the wheel of decline in motion. Ohio will not recover anytime soon, we are only one stepp behind Michigan.By Wordell
