Hope for released inmates such as James, the corrections system in Ohio institutes a spell-check program for the inmates , so they can learn to spell correctly while serving their felonies. It is obvious with his vocabulary that he has spent the majority of his life incarcerated in the penal system, and spelling classes would help them tremendously when, or if they are returned to society.

Hi Paula, That makes since then as I had my benefit year end in April, so I had to serve another waiting week.I was counting 12 weeks and ended up getting 10….Totals are right then. Thanx for the clarification.

The totals should be 10 weeks retro + $25 for week ending 5/9/09 total fac of $275. that is what I got. I do direct deposit, so I receive payment weekly. If you receive every 2 weeks, total may be less than weekly amount until next check.

Wish Ohio had some a$$ and would stand up to corporations like the one i worked for. Was bought by a Texas firm and took my $13 hour job to Texas, which is now getting done for min wage by Mexican workers. I am not prejudice in any way,but damn I needed this job. Just noticed when I logged into my Claim Summary for Ohio Unemployment, they have gone back to 2/28/09 and changed the payments to read “Paid, FAC.” So it looks like the reprogramming has been completed, because the “FAC” part wasn’t showing up last week. I also have three email notices on the website from today, but none of them will open! Hopefully one of the emails contains good news? It looks to me like maybe this is the week Ohioans will receive our FAC, though. Keep your fingers crossed!

I now see paid, FAC for all dates starting on 2/28 to current. In my payment history I only see my standard payment, but I do see two payment correspondence notices for 4/11. Since I am unable to access the messages at this time, it’s still up in the air whether or not I’ll receive the additional payment.

James,just checked my account i dont see nothing extra in my account.They told me friday since i am on federal extension i would also get mine by today.Nothing zero extra i have to say this is getting out of hand,now i have to wait another two weeks and they probly will give me another b.s. lie in two more weeks.Douglas lumpkin should have paid the money when he got the check,instead he used the recovery money to pay odjfs payroll and vacation in flordia.No other state has pulled this b.s. to their people. we are the dead last state not to receive the recovery money sent to the state.This is starting to look like a ponzi scam. i got a call about 6 weeks ago saying i would redieve a $25 increase and an adjustment retroactive back to feb 22 in 6 weeks or less. or as soon as they reprogram the system. its been 11 weeks since feb 22. im getting the feeling that they feel if, they dont issue the payment, maybe i’ll forget about it? or if they hold out long enough, they wont have to give it to me. im thinkin im gonna call channel 7 and see what i can do about drawing more attn to this crap. ive got child support to pay, bills, and your other “usual” daily costs of living. why is this not looked at as something serious? if im overpaid as a result of “whatever”, they’d be on my a*s to pay them. so why doesnt it work the other way around? government office exists FOR ME! My guess would be the money got lost in the system and they need to reprogram it to find it. The $25 increase will be no sooner than the week of april 18 09 if thats any relief. Lol

Blame it on the State House raising Ohio’s taxes to now be in the top 5 highest taxed states in the Union. Taxes have driven the good talent from this state.

I’d just like to know when Ohio is going to get their system “reprogrammed” so workers can get their share of the stimulus package.
