Alright Gary I’d like to apologize for calling you out about the early phone call, if you work until 2am I wouldn’t want a call at 6am either mayor or not. I’ve just been pretty fed up w/the direction of the city since Turner left and I thought you’d be another McClin type. I’m pretty sure I’ll support you after reading your email. My question for you the other morning was what type of business specifically are you going to market the city of Dayton to? You plan on bringing business in from surrounding states, what type? To: asdf@yahoo.com; iwoantyu@hotmail.com Subject: Second attempt This is From Gary L. Now 9:40 PM Tuesday. Just back from planning meeting at my HQ. Expect to be up late again. Here is what I sent yesterday. It is about 9:30 PM. I just got back this very moment from the Belmont candidates night and spent the afternoon being grilled by the DDN editorial board while in between running papers to the Southeast Priority Board office and teaching 10 lessons and two assessments to my 6 year old daughter who you also woke up this morning. Not all people live as you do, you have to realize that. My last email blast to my supporters went out last night at 1:53 AM which means I wasn’t asleep until after 2 PM. My supporters don’t know how I do everything that I do. My wife gets mad because the phone rings here constantly whereas before it never did. Please be courteous when you call people and don’t broadcast your opinion about them on a public forum when you have no clue about the circumstances that cause them to react a certain way. That being said I will make this statement about your choices at the polls. You can keep things the way they are and vote for Ms. McLin. You can take a chance on a guy who has taken chances all his life and vote for change or you can exercise your right to not vote in which case you will get the Dayton that you deserve. If you really want to support Dayton then you need to vote the way you feel. If you fail to vote for the candidate that you feel will make a difference to YOU then you have no right to complain after the election if you get the candidate that you are opposed to. If you decide to support me after reading this I would welcome it. I am up against a machine and have taken on the biggest risk of my life. I would like your support but I can’t lose any more sleep over not getting it! :) Now, what was it that you wanted to ask me so early in the morning? Gary

At poor gary, I did send you a personal email at your hotmail address after the candidates night in Belmont. However, I noticed this morning that it had bounced back and that you have attacked me again on another board.Mr. Wellbaum can attest to the fact that I am often up until 2 AM working on my campaign. He supports what I am doing. By not voting, you will get the Dayton that you deserve.

Dear Jeff Wellbaum, I am not a supporter of McClin by any stretch I tell everyone I know in Dayton not to vote for her. She is a horrible hag and has done the city of Dayton a disgrace by putting her name back on the ballot. As to Gary why don’t you have him answer my questions? If he can’t stand the heat from little old blogger…

Poor Gary, AKA Mikey: It is rude to call someone that early. You probably are some McLin campaign operative-acting out a part to try to cause trouble. There are so many embarassing things I can mention about Ms.McLin it is hilarious. But I try to be a gentleman when I can.

Dear Gary Leitzell, I did not look your number up in the phone book it was published online in this DDN article this morning. It looks like it has since been removed along with your PR guy’s number with the 754 or whatever area code. I really thought I would support you since I won’t be supporting McClin. Now I’m not going to support you and I’m telling everyone I know not to support you or McClin. You get all outta shape cause I called your number that was published in an online DDN article at 650am when normal working folks are up and at’em and then have your wife holler at me too??? If you can’t get up before sunrise and can’t keep your wife in check how the hell are you gonna keep council and everyone else in Dayton in check??? I thought we had a chance with you I guess my vote will go to no candidate once again. I guess politicians are truly all the same earring wearing, late rising, good for nothins out of touch with the common man and out for themselves. I am serious about everything I’ve said. And I honestly didn’t mean to be rude this morning when I called but I really thought a guy coming off as a man of the people would be up before the sun. I’d really like to hear your response. Thanks in advance, Mikey PS I just got home from work, how about you

wow, already it starts with communicating through the DDN website about a trivial phone call. Cool. So glad I moved to Greene County.

This is not very good reporting because there are four open seats for Dayton Public School Board, and further more one of the incumbents is not listed.

Dear Mikey (poor Gary), Please be advised that the number you called belongs to our personal residence. It is common courtesy to contact folks between the hours of 9am-9pm. You are quite capable of using email to correspond with my husband. Since you lack common courtesy,I am requesting that you no longer call our personal residence. Thank you for your attention. To poor gary, aka Mikey, Let’s make this very clear. You called the mayoral candidate at his personal residence before 7 AM. Which is rude to do, by the way. Especially since I now know that you could have emailed me. If you were a member of my support team receiving my email blasts then you would know when it is appropriate to call me. You should be impressed that you were able to find my phone number in the book and that I was home to answer the phone!
