Legislative black caucus endorses casino plan
The Ohio Legislative Black Caucus on Saturday, Oct. 17, announced its endorsement for Issue 3 on the Nov. 3 ballot, the plan to permit casinos in Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo and Cincinnati.
“After studying the proposed constitutional amendment and meeting with representatives of the prospective casino developers, we reached the conclusion that this proposal offers Ohio benefits it badly needs in this very difficult economic environment - jobs, new tax revenues for local communities and schools, and $1 billion in guaranteed private investment that will help revitalize our major cities,” Rep. Sandra Williams, D-Cleveland, president of the OLBC, said in a press release.

Hmmm…everyone is whining about the recession, so lets vote yes on an issue that will let people go and throw away thier money! Then when everyone is even more broke, we’ll just blame that on Bush too!

I hope all the residents unemployed and gamblers of Dayton are willing to relocated to areas where these cities where the casinos are located. After much thought I do not see the advantage to Ohio, after all in this amendment we are not allowed to make the casinos any better than our surrounding states and no more than one per city(so no competition, no draw to ours. Another thing is after these are built what happens to the builders, no job but a place to gamble with money they don”t have. I live in Dayton, do I move to have promise of a job I have no skill for and a place to gamble, which I do not do?

What kind of unemployment problems do they have in Vegas? Lets stop the outflow of money to these other states. Those people that lose their soal to gambling are going to go where its at. l’d just as soon have that money here. Vote YES on issue 3

What does the Ohio Legislative White Caucus have to say on this issue? Wait, what, there is no white caucus? Why not, there is a black one, equal is equal, right? This group sounds racist to me.
