Dayton Tea Party plans “Freedom Rally” at Nutter Center
The Dayton Tea Party, partnering with Homemakers for American, plans a “Freedom Rally” on Tuesday, April 13, at the Nutter Center at Wright State University, according to a press release on Wednesday, March 17.
Doors will open at 4 p.m. with the main event to start at 7 p.m.
“We will fill the Nutter Center easily. The Tea Partiers will be out in huge numbers,” Rob Scott, Dayton Tea Party president and founder, said in the release.
The rally is one of many events scheduled for Dayton Liberty Week. General tickets are free but premier seating is $15, the release said. For more information, visit www.daytonohioteaparty.com or contact info@daytonohioteaparty.com.

The comments here are astounding! What are these people sweating, anyway. You want to corner the market on your style of activism and your values? Now that ACORN was told to leave Ohio after getting their grubs caught in it all, the mainstream public is far wiser about about what is fair and legal. Look for the mainstream public to express itself regarding unrepresentative government this fall.

Blah blah blah. Keep fighting amongst yourselves. It’s in the best interests of everyone in Washington to keep us all divided and fighting over ridiculous non-issues. And if the Tea Party is so set against big government, why did none of them come out against Bush, who grew government and his rampant spending? From 2000, government spending grew 55% under Bush. If you’re really about American freedom and fighting for the little guy, you should have been up in arms from 2000 - 2008. Where was the outrage then?

If the Teabaggers are against big govt. Then, they should have no problem with keeping govt. out of the abortion issue, the gun control issue and, pull all the troops out of Iraq; a war based upon the lies of big govt. So, abortion should remain legal, there should be no gun control, no more lie based wars and, marijuana should be legal and taxed. Also, all lobbyists are banned. The dems and gop cannot ever accept bribes. Term limits, among other things.

The facts that Just The Facts stated are true, as stated from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). The Tea Party attendees want to return the government back to the people. Beebo, let’s just stick to the facts. No more of this Ad Hominem stuff. We are all Americans. Here’s a prior post. I checked it out. It’s accurate. When Bush took office in 2000 the National debt was 5.7 (Trillion). When he left office it was 9.2. An increase of 3.5. When Obama took office it was 9.2. It is currently 12.6. An increase of 3.4. In summary: Bush increased it 3.5 Trillion in 8 years, and Obama has increased it 3.4 Trillion in 15 months. Those are the FACTS from the CBO. You said Bush was worse by ten fold. Please Counter with a fact. I don’t really care what color any of you are.

All I know…is that whenever you see tea partiers, they tend to be older, rural angry whites that conveniently kept their mouths shut when Bush was killing our country. A look at the current bill itself reveals even more tellingly the blatant insincerity of the president and acolytes, including those in the media. What they do not want the public to get wind of, before they shove through the proposal, are its provisions for blocking or cordoning off any possible changes in the copious health benefits that “federal employees” (Congressmen and their staffers, and their families) now enjoy under the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program (FEHBP). These six provisions (see Sec. 1334 of H.R. 3590, passed by the Senate) lock in the “continued support for FEHBP” (specifically, no “fewer financial or personnel resources” can be allocated, the current federal employees’ health benefit program would exist as “a separate risk pool” from other Americans, and more “units or offices” may be established to ensure that there is no “[interference] with [FEHBP’s] effective administration,” etc.). In sum, Obama and the compliant MSM have made every effort to hide the fact that ObamaCare is a blatantly unjust, two-tier, socialist health-care system. Socialist regimes reveal their true nature by the special treatment they give to their permanent ruling class; they deny such treatment for ordinary schlubs like you and me. The worst corruption in socialist regimes comes from that simple two-caste system … Obama’s Medi-Grab will force ordinary people into a medico-legal corral. But it exempts members of the ruling left, and by creating a political monopoly over medical care, it ensures that we must all go begging, hat in hand, to the bureaucracy for our very survival. We have been fighting all year to let the farmers in CA have water so they could farm. Instead the feds are protecting a little fish while the farmers are standing in soup lines. Now to bribe Representatives for 2 votes on Health Care they have agreed to let them have some water. That’s the type of government you lefties support?

It is unfortunate that so many are so willing to sacrifice freedom on the altar of ideology. The name-calling, the misrepresentations, and the hate that is the party line of the Left betrays the principle of “free thinking” that so many on that side of the political spectrum espouse. If it is “free thinking”, how come the statements and attacks are so similar? How come there is such a poverty of fact and a wealth of political mantra?

The present administration is about taking money from taxpayers, and buying votes. Anyone who pays taxes knows the debt is not sustainable. So how is that helping the citizens? I am stunned by the comments on this board. “The Tea Party people are all racist.” “Obama is sterilizing the water to force people to have an abortion.” You all must be off your rocker. Neither of these statements are true or have any basis of fact. Grow up and act like adults. Both parties had a hand in the economic problems we are experiencing now. The real culprit that has caused the economic crisis is all of these major corporations that have set up shop over seas to employ slave labor. Now our whole economic structure is collapsing because to many people are unemployed. Neither political party has addressed this issue. We are doing this to ourselves. Lets stop the fighting between ourselves and start working toward fixing the problems.

After all, a 2008 Gallup poll found that 53 percent of Americans believed that the Bush administration “deliberately misled the American public about whether Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.” (This was a big change from a poll taken two months after the 2003 invasion that noted that 67 percent believed that Bush had played it straight.)

I hope the Tea Party in April is a celebration of the defeat of Healthcare Bill as presently crafted. It is OBVIOUS from recent activity from Washington, that the plan is to raise 500 billion from Medicare cuts, and increase taxes 500 billion, which is 1 trillion. Then, because no benefits are paid for 6 years, they can kickback another “stimulus package”, this time one trillion. Again, on the taxpayers who are saying enough is enough.

Progressives are exactly what is wrong with our country. Read the comments and see how evil, nasty, vile, and hateful they are. These people love leaders like Mao, Stalin, Castro, and Che. Like Sean Penn they even admire Chavez. They hear the words Tea Party, Constitution, Founding Fathers, American Tradition, American Heritage, American Flag, etc. and these people immediately turn into hatemongers. Progressives are not tolerant people. Progressive feel the need to push their views so they attempt to discredit anyone that disagrees with them. What is sad is that they want to destroy this wonderful country. There is NOT a democrat in the whitehouse. There is a Marxist in the white house.

So, a bunch of claims of racism that are false, claims people said disagreement with Bush was called unpatriotic though no one can show a quote but Pelosi has said it about disagreeing with Obama, complaints about shouting though there are plenty of videos demonstrating liberals using that tactic for years before the Tea Party and of course the usual band of insults. Arguments like those demonstrate that the liberals are scared and afraid to actually look at the problems with reason or though and can not try open, honest and civil debate.
