Rob Portman: people want a change to the status quo!

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Rob Portman blasted out a fund-raising e-mail message to supporters on Wednesday, March 31, that says, in part: “I am out on the campaign trail in western Ohio today, and I don’t have to tell you, people are ready for a change to the status quo!”

The wording might leave the recipient wondering if Ohioans like the current status quo or if they want to change to the status quo when Portman was part of it. Or maybe readers might conclude that Portman’s campaign staff needs to do a better job proof reading before hitting the send button.

“It was a typo. A typo,” Portman campaign spokeswoman Jessica Towhey.

Portman, a former Congressman, White House budget director and U.S. trade representative, will face off against the winner of the Democratic primary between Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner and Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher.

I am not in the richest 1%, but I am in the richest 5%. I have no use for Republicans either. I used to be an Independant who voted for both Republicans and Democrats in the past. But in the last decade, Republicans have become narrow-minded, self-serving, and just plain crazy!

As far as I can tell I am nor will I ever be one of the 1% of richest Americans. Thus I have absolutely no use use for any Republican (and that incudes the ones misleading the tea baggers).

Portman thinks he represents CHANGE!!! Funny…everytime I hear his name I think of George Bush and THE MESS he left this country with. I GUESS he thinks that BUSH did such a wonderful job…and he should be praised. The fact that Portman worked for Bush, supported Bush….and WAS Bush’s puppet. HOW in the world..does he think that represents change?

Wouldn’t the status quo be a Republican Senator? I am ready for a change — and to see Ohio represented by another caring, Democrat in the Senate.

Get back in your shell Rob, the people of the great state of OHIO do not need anything you have to offer. You blew your chance of securing any office when you hitched your wagon to that little COWBOY’S wagon just a few years back. Go back to China and get your next job.
