VP Biden to campaign, raise bucks for Fisher
Vice President Joe Biden will campaign and hold a fundraiser for Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, on Wednesday, June 30, in Cleveland, Fisher’s campaign announced on Thursday, June 24.
“We’re excited to have Vice President Biden’s support and to be able to work with him to create good-paying jobs in Ohio and rebuild our middle class,” Fisher said in a press release.
Fisher is running against Republican Rob Portman, a former U.S. House member from the Cincinnati area and top aide to President George W. Bush.
Portman’s campaign gave the news a cool reception.
“After sitting idly by while Ohio lost 400,000 jobs in the last three years, Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher now welcomes to Ohio a key figure in Washington’s dangerous tax-and-spend agenda that is destroying the state’s chances for real economic recovery,” Jessica Towhey, Portman’s spokeswoman, said in an e-mail.

Fisrt of all this is not a depression so anyone blogging calling this a depression is stupid and this RECESSION was caused by the housing crisis and Bush had nothing to do with it. The policies which caused this recession were put in place by Clinton so don’t blame Bush. Do some research and stop being stupid. Look at Europe and how they are bankrupt based on socialism. Don’t be a brain washed idiot and start thinking for yourself.

The reality is Ohio was among the top states in creating new jobs in 2009 and 2010. Many of these jobs were in technology and clean energy. Well done Ted and Lee. While Portman served GW Bush, over 2.3 million American jobs were outsourced. Portman was one of the architects of CAFTA, which cost Americans hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs.

the current depression was caused by the failed policies of the george W. bush administration. the republicans can try to blame someone else but it will still be there fault.

Must we remind Rob Portman that the US Economy collapsed under the watch of his boss, President George W. Bush, resulting in banks closing and jobs lost.

Fisher is a career politician hack. As Stricklands “Jobs Czar” look what he accomplished:nothing but the loss of 400k jobs in the state. He is just looking for a cushy job.

RE: VP Biden……….General McChrystal proved that one can be insubordinate and right at the same time. Biden is to the spoken word as Gerald Ford was to stairways.
