Gov race heats up in Dayton area with back-to-back stops by Kasich, Strickland

The Dayton area becomes the center of the Ohio governor’s race on Thursday, July 15, and Friday, July 16, with back-to-back appearances by Republican challenger John Kasich and Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland.

Strickland is expected in Huber Heights on Friday afternoon as part of his “Main Street Tour”, his campaign said. Strickland is using the tour to contrast his record with Kasich’s, Strickland’s campaign has said.

As previously announced, Kasich will be at Sinclair Community College on Thursday with former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich for a round table discussion on job training.

Kasich, a former Columbus-area U.S. House member, and Gingrich are former allies in Congress and worked together to help the GOP take over the U.S. House in 1994 with its “Contract with America” campaign.

To : By Cella NAFTA allowed big companies to move their production outside of the US such as GM. It took a Democratic President to sign that into law. Don’t point fingers until you check the facts.

the current state of the us economy is the sole fault of the failed bush administration and any effort to deflect from that fact is pure B.S.

Vote for Kasich is like voting for Wallstreet. No jobs in Ohio is on the hands of the Republicans. They continue to support tax breaks for companies to move jobs out of the country. Get reading and learn the facts. Vote Republican if you earn more than 250 thousand dollars. you will save money….Just the rest of the idiots won’t.

The passenger train issue was actually planned out by Republican Governor Taft, he had Tom Seney also a Republican draft the master plan! Governor Strickland was given the money to do the passenger trains. Kasich does NOT support these trains, Kasich likes Ohio to be dependent on oil!

Have known Ted for several years, first as our congressman in the 6th. distrist and then as our governor and there isn’t anyone that is more fair than he is and he doesn’t care what party you belong to. He was elected by all the people and that who he serves.

Aside from press release barbs and baiting I haven’t seen much difference in either’s campaigns so far. But, there may not be all that great of difference between parties anyway. Neither candidate or party can seriously believe putting more on the charge card reduces debt; IF debt reduction is what they’re talking about. Who knows.

Strickland has been such a disappointment to Ohio ….worst unmeployment rate in 25 years. I love his solutions …Cap and Trade and a railway system that will cost Ohio millions in subsidies. What a genius!!!! I can’t wait until Nov. GO KASICH!!!

Kasich event with the Contract on America creep is not open to the public, Why? It’s fund raiser. And the people attending will be wearing a paper bag over their heads because they don’t want to be seen with the creep Gingrich and No Plan and makes No Sense Kasich. While the Main Steet Event by Governor Ted Strickland is open to everyone because he really cares about the people of Ohio. Employment is up the 10th straight month. Great job Governor Ted Strickland, bringing Ohio out of the Republican created economic mess.
