Boehner launches fund raising push to help GOP take back U.S. House
By Jack Torry Washington Bureau
WASHINGTON - U.S. House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-West Chester, has launched a new fund-raising effort as part of his campaign to win control of the House in November and become the first speaker of the House from Ohio since Nicholas Longworth in 1931. It’s called the “Boehner for Speaker” committee.
Want to join? According to Politico.com, a newspaper and web site in Washington, all it takes is a measly $100,000. You can either contribute to the committee or agree to raise it yourself. In return, Politico says donors will get meetings from Boehner and “VIP access to all events, including roundtables, briefings, breakout discussions and interactive panel discussions.”
And if you don’t have $100,000? Well, apparently, tough luck. You get to watch Boehner on TV or read about him in the newspapers.
Don Seymour, a Boehner spokesman said that “you don’t have to have a dime to meet with John Boehner. As a servant of the people of Ohio, he meets with thousands of Americans every year, for free. Boehner for Speaker is not about access; it’s about people who believe in a cause — a cause shared by millions of Americans, including many who don’t contribute money at all.”

I received a mailer from Boehner listing his top ten priorities. Jobs was not even on the list! This guy does not care about or serve the 8th district. Justin Coussoule is a West Point grad, Iraq vet, a former small business owner, a husband and father who is running against Boehner. Let’s vote for a representative who actually represents the constituents for a change! Elect Coussoule!

Straight from Boehner’s office, he meets with 1000’s of Americans for free? Notice he did not say meets with his “constituents” in SW Ohio for free. Big difference. He is meeting with lobbyists and special interests, which he conveniently lumps under Americans. This man isn’t even subtle about the fact that he has SOLD OUT, and doesn’t give a rats a$$ about SW Ohio and its residents.

This article only confirms the fact that Boehner has completely lost contact with the residents of SW Ohio. I am embarrassed to tell people he is our Congressman. Power, greed and ego have warped this man’s purpose, which was to REPRESENT SW Ohio. Voters have a much better alternative in November, Justin Coussoule.

On his worst day Boehner is 100 times better than any liberal whack job put forth by the Dumpocraps. Boehner will be easily re-elected because their are far more resonsible, hard working, moral, decent people in his district than their are Democrats. I’m proud for him to be in the lead when he tells Hussein Obama “NO”. Most of the time he should really be saying “Are You Kidding Me?” or “HE11 NO”. When are the liberal takers and whiners going to learn a poor man has never given you a job and when you take money undiservidely from a rich guy and make him poor - who’s then going to give you a job? Pelosi? Hussein? Reid? or maybe A$$ Clown Brown will. Boehner doesn’t protect the rich - he protects the caspitalist system and I say thank God that someone is. You liberal whiners and takers from society don’t understand that!

100k to join the club? No Thanks. It’s obvious Boehner cares about power and placating the wealthy. He cares nothing for the middle class.

The Republicans put us in this mess. Why in the world would we want them back. The Republicans have proven, the ONLY thing they can give you, is a broken promise!

If you suddenly feel the desire to donate, why not simply go out and buy another Rolls Royce - you’ll feel better!

Perhaps we should all donate to a special fund to get Boehner to retire or resign and pack up and leave Ohio forever. After all, Boehner should be used to bribes by now…

I don’t have $100,000, but I can contribute 5 cents. Will that help?
