Dems file complaint against Fox News

Fox News Network broke Ohio election law when Republican John Kasich appeared on The O’Reilly Factor and was allowed to plug for campaign donations, a complaint by the Democratic Governors Association alleges.

The DGA filed a seven-page complaint with the Ohio Elections Commission on Thursday, Sept. 2. The Democrats are taking issue with a Kasich appearance on Aug. 18 in which he asked Fox viewers to contribute to his campaign and the news network put up a graphic that said “John Kasich (R), KasichforOhio.com.”

The DGA said the move amounted to a prohibited in-kind contribution to Kasich and the network failed to include a proper disclaimer that it was a political advertisement for Kasich.

Three days after his appearance, Kasich told supporters at a rally in Hamilton County that he raised more than $21,000 off the solicitation, according to the complaint.

A Fox News spokesperson said the network’s legal department had not yet received the complaint and therefore could not comment.

Fox News’ parent company, News Corp., gave $1 million to the Republican Governors Association in June. The RGA has been funding pro-Kasich, anti-Strickland political ads in Ohio.

Additionally, News Corp. Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch and his wife contributed $20,000 to Kasich’s campaign.

Kasich campaign spokesman Rob Nichols declined to comment on the DGA complaint.

Just an observation. Why does the left hate Fox News and harp on and on about it? If they don’t like it don’t watch it,it seems simple. Also it seems folks on the left always make the assumption that if you watch Fox News it is your only source of news.I watch many different news channels Fox News included. There is quite a bit of arrogance on the left and it shines through constantly in posts here.

“FOX is the only channel that actually reports the news and the facts” LMAO, do you really believe that? I don’t care what Fox or any of their opinionators say, they just need to remove “News” from their title. They have every right to say what they do, however, to present themselves as a legitimate news outlet is wrong, they are an agitation propaganda network.

Those that listen to the Fox entertainment network would do just as well to listen to Maury Povitch or Jerry Springer. Same results. When Fox does their little commentaries and the uniformed listen to them, they are being brainwashed. I would suggest researching the news from different sources then formulating an opinion. The Fox watchers, in general, cannot have a valid opinion. They are pawns of the media.

FOX is the only channel that actually reports the news and the facts. All the other news channels do is present the democrat propaganda. That is why the democrats hate FOX and lie about fox. The other news channels are like Communist China, Cuba, and Venezuela. Those countries shut down and imprison anyone that sheds light on the truth. The democrats do not want Americans to be free and they certainly don’t want people to be free thinkers. The democrats like their little sheep followers that don’t question their propaganda.

Fox is nothing but an entertainment network. And, their shows do not come close to reporting “news”. It does appeal to people with anger issues but, there is no reporting. And, facts are manipulated for the benefit of their viewing public. And yes, shock jocks do sell products. Beck and Limbaugh are examples. The viewers of said shows probably think that Orson Welles, War of the Worlds really did happen.

The comments that have been posted thus far are rather silly. “Fox news is unfair and needs to be silenced” type stuff versus, “Fox News brings truth to the world!” Silly.

It’s very cute that the lib/dems get so uptight about having the real truth broadcast on Fox News. It puts a damper on their ability to lie. Just ask the Libtart/obamabotts for real examples. What they are doing is confusing Host opinions (The factor, Beck) with the news broadcast. They can’t seem to recongize the difference, but then again they swallowed the Obama line to so that explains alot. We need to speak slowly to them, guide them and help them heal. Eventually with education and knowledge they will recongize the Right is right!

Fox news needs to be taken off the air, period with their lies and allusions. They have nothing going for themselves so they have to make up lies to keep their show going.

Boy the liberal bitterness and hatred is thick this morning. It must be awful waking up every morning knowing you screwed up by voting how you did. 46% approval rating an falling…. Apparently many of you have come to Fox to get the truth and a reality check. There may be hope for you yet, hang in there…………You are correct, but bamabott fever is running high, they can see the writing on the wall and like drowning rats they claw and scrape for anything. This is why you see some many (news) people on cnn, msnbc, etc. foaming at their mouths.

Fox News is a terrorist network who “reports” its version of “news” to incite fear and panic and turn people against each other. It’s so sad that we are so unable to think for ourselves that we actually buy into it.

So, let’s start holding ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, HLN to the same standard. They are so dem/liberal it’s nausiating. The real issues are these blue state morons, and demacrats can’t stand a news source that speaks the truth and not the Obamallah talking points. Time to accept the Right (named for a reason) will take back over and fix the Obamamess that has been created.

Fox is not a “news” network. It is an entertainment network with shock jocks and low level celebrities that could not score a job as news commentators or dress up as clowns for a kids show. It may appeal to those with anger issues but, Fox does not report “news”. Their staff consists of individuals that are on the same level as Howard Stern or Limbaugh. Shock jocks.
