Husted withdraws from debate

Ohio Secretary of State candidate Maryellen O’Shaughnessy is claiming her Republican opponent, state Sen. Jon Husted, is “running scared” because he will not debate her in Cleveland.

On Sunday a Columbus Dispatch poll showed O’Shaughnessy, a Democrat and Franklin County clerk of courts, is within striking distance of Husted. Husted, R-Kettering, is supported by 42 percent of those polled and O’Shaughnessy is supported by 39 percent, according to the poll.

“He thought he would walk away with this race, but Maryellen has shown she is a fighter and is on track to win the election in November,” said O’Shaughnessy Campaign Manager Kyle McDermott.

Husted spokesman Ryan Frazee said Husted in October will participate in a debate and a forum, and is doing at least nine joint appearances with O’Shaughnessy. He said Husted originally agreed to do the City Club of Cleveland debate but canceled on August 30.

“Unfortunately, we can’t do every one,” said Frazee,

O’Shaughnessy will appear at the City Club on Sept. 29, said spokeswoman Heidi Hubmann.

My good friend Johnny Husted knows how to game the system. Let me tell you, he knows how to cheat so much so that he’d be the best candidate for Ohio’s chief elections officer. For example, he knows how to get away with living in Columbus, but voting down here in Dayton. He’s the King of Voter Fraud!

Why debate her, she has an agenda, to get clips to use against him. She has no skill, platform or free thought. Just another Democrat puppet. The tide it going out for the Obamabots. Strickland is out, Reid is out, even Obamallah’s right hand man is running scared. Hustead was just being green and not wasting the gas to entertain her.

Husted is a coward, and those who think the rich are paying their fair share are just mislead. So all you bottom feeders that support this leach must like where you are. Keep him in there and serve him as though he is god. To me he is nothing but a mortal leaching off the masses to support his lavish lifestyle. So if you pay and having a hard time is what you want then Husted is your guy.

Remember, 47% of that 98% get a free ride anyway. Don’t forget that the top 2% pays over 50% of the costs. Difficult to defend tapping that 2% even more and watching that 47% inch up.

These 2% account for 25% of our economy and most of the jobs created so I think Husted is the smarter of the 2. I guess some people think handing out money to unions helps create jobs but the last 2 years proved this wrong. I have never seen or read of deficit spending fixing any economy so maybe you should go back to economics for dummies and take Obama and his entire economic team with you. BTW, I actually took real economic classes and out debated my liberal professor.

Not surprised…it is hard to defend subsidizing the wealthiest 2% of Americans at the expense of the other 98%, especially in their own backyard.
