Portman reports more than $6M on hand for finish of U.S. Senate race
Republican Rob Portman’s campaign said on Thursday that Portman had $6.25 million on hand for his U.S. Senate campaign on Sept. 30, the end of the third quarter.
Portman, a former Cincinnati-area U.S. House member and top aide to President George W. Bush, raised $2.85 million during the quarter and so far has raised more than $15.5 million, his campaign said.
Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher, the Democratic candidate, raised nearly $1.05 million in the third quarter and has raised nearly $6.2 million to date,his campaign said. Fisher’s campaign did not say how much he had on hand at the end of the third quarter.
Portman’s campaign also provided these figures:
22,631: Total number of individual donors for overall campaign
9,439: Total number of individual donors in 3rd quarter
85%: Percentage of 3rd quarter contributors from Ohio
35,741: Total number of contributions from individuals for overall campaign
