Portman reports more than $6M on hand for finish of U.S. Senate race
Republican Rob Portman’s campaign said on Thursday that Portman had $6.25 million on hand for his U.S. Senate campaign on Sept. 30, the end of the third quarter.
Portman, a former Cincinnati-area U.S. House member and top aide to President George W. Bush, raised $2.85 million during the quarter and so far has raised more than $15.5 million, his campaign said.
Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher, the Democratic candidate, raised nearly $1.05 million in the third quarter and has raised nearly $6.2 million to date, his campaign said. Fisher’s campaign did not say how much he had on hand at the end of the third quarter.
Portman’s campaign also provided these figures:
22,631: Total number of individual donors for overall campaign
9,439: Total number of individual donors in 3rd quarter
85%: Percentage of 3rd quarter contributors from Ohio
35,741: Total number of contributions from individuals for overall campaign

I know a repub and he told me what he believes about abortion, and it sais alot about how a true repub thinks. He stated that abortion was wrong and everyone should be able to be born and given a chance in life. When I asked about the “socialist” programs needed to take care of the poor babies, he stated, “I believe they should be given life, but once they are born its not the governments job to take care of them”. This pretty much sais how a reub thinks. Repubs think theyre doing the right thing by allowing the baby to be born, but if that same baby starves to death, or dies from lack of insurance, well then thats the poor peoples problem, because america cant afford the “socialist programs”.

Hey fiscal conservative, theres a few things that you should know before you go making a fool of yourself. Fact: America gives less to its poor than any of the other 28 industrialized nations. Yes its true and America doesnt have near as many socialist programs as other countries, but I bet fox didnt tell you that did they. Fact: no other industrialized country has the division between the rich and poor like America. In other countries, the rich realize they live good and dont think its right to see other citizens suffer and go without. As a result, these rich people have no problem paying extra taxes so everyone can live a decent life. This saves alot of tax money because people dont commit crimes just to eat, thus saving money in jails. Most americans are willing to pay more taxes so everyone can live decently. Then theres fox news who dont even believe the poor should be able to vote. When you get before God be ready to answer why you believe that you deserve health care, and the poor guy across town should not get it.

Alright please direct me to the link were the US is giving up sovereignty to the UN? If you do a little digging this story has been spinning since King George the 1st. Remember Brent Scowcroft or what ever that fellers’ name was talking about new world order when the Berlin Wall came down. or when King George broke America down into zones were in the Multi Jurisdiction Task Force (MJTF) was suppose to be flying sterile black helicopters with all the goons of FEMA? Anyway this is nothing more than another ruse by the GOP to strike unmerited fear into the hearts of the general populous, it didn’t happen then and it’s not going to happen now! Don’t worry all you card carrying gun toting NRA members you’ll get to keep your guns.

How can the Democrats sit blindly with support for huge govt. micro-managing our lives? What happened to having a free society? All along I have sensed that Obama is corrupt having worked with Acorn- an organization that supports democrats and takes funds to build prostitution houses. How can any of this be good for America? Is Acorn an example of his Community Organizing? I prefer Portman over Fisher and I support Boehner over Coussoule! I am pro-American, pro-conservative!

Portman stands against giving our country over to the United Nations! Portman stands for our gun rights! He understands that abominable healthcare bill is not wanted. He knows higher taxes are not wanted! Fisher is the failure! In November, Portman will succeed by far!

Given Portman’s relationships with the Bush’s, surely this isn’t a surprise? What I’d like to see is how much of this is Saudi and foreign money. After that debate, I realize more than ever that Portman is not a man who wants to work with others — he’s more PARTY OF NO.

The last President to balance the budget, and he had to shut down the R congress to do it, was BILL CLINTON. And that’s a fact, jack.

It seems like people commenting on this article are more worried about what other people have then what they are losing. The Democratic Socialist have spent trillions of dollars of our money and they are worried about a couple of million a candidate raises to run for office. Maybe they will wake up when the dollar drops like a rock and food prices start rising higher then they already are. They just said the federal reserve is going to print another trillion yesterday and the dollar has been falling in value ever sense. The bill for all this spending is coming due and I hope you can afford to help pay for it. Socialist programs are not free like they tell you. Just ask the France who are rioting in the streets because the socialist don’t have the money to pay for what they promised. That is going to be the real Amerika, not the paradise they promised you.

How can any politician who raises millions when they run, relate to those of us who work hard to just raise the money to pay for groceries or utilities?

I guess who ever has the most money wins. What a joke. I’ll tell you all something and you can make fun of me call me crazy but the GOP and all those that donate money have a bone-fide agenda and that’s to make America a 2 class state, the rich and the poor. They are systematically destroying this country and destroying the middle class. When the republicans get in office and it’s coming your all going to see the real thieves in country and they will pass legislation that will be detrimental to all that don’t make over 250k. They will get rid of minimum wages, privatize social security, cut unemployment benefits, reduce veterans benefits (that’s right the same people who claim to be patriotic will pull the rug out from under the veterans as well) raise taxes, and kill the unions and then it will be too late! Then what will you folks say once they’ve totally sold us out to the highest bidder?

Of course Portman has $6 million. It is the dirty filthy money of corrupt corporate interests and rich oligarchs who are robbing Amerika blind as idiots like you vote for people like Portman who enable the robbers to continue to loot Amerika because you are ignorant racists and xenophobes who vote against your own economic interests because a black guy is president. Soon, you will regret your foolish choices.
