The teacher in Cincinnati who took her students to the polls as a field trip, only to give them Democratic ballots, should be FIRED. She was probably sent by the corrupt teacher’s UNIONS/THUGS! The media needs to expose the teacher, fire the teacher who did this! Not only is this a bad influence on our kids, but it makes teachers look stupid, incompentent, too! DDN, we’d like to see a follow-up to this story, including the name of the teacher and the Union she belongs to., and what is the corrective action! Taxpayers deserve an answer!

DDN hid this article after I posted my comments, but I found it. I’ve noticed DDN doesn’t have many articles to comment on any more. Perhaps the political climate doesn’t suit DDN right now. I pray to God that Strickland and his like don’t get reelected.

I’ve seen Strickland’s commercials where he “talks the talk” but somehow managed to lose 400,000 jobs under his watch. That’s what I’d like to know—how did he lose all those jobs? I would vote for a 6 year old over Strickland. A baby could do a better job for Ohio. And I’m fed up with the dirty dealings and left wing politics. I’m voting for Kasich.

Why do democrats need a response to Kasich’s bus tour? Kasich is campaigning isn’t Strickland? This is another example of the democrats wanting to stifle opposition speech. NRA endorsement of Strickland is as good as the VFW endorsing Boxer. NRA endorsement means nothing anymore, since they were willing to endorse Harry Reid. And Max, freedom of speech was always intended for the people to be able to speak out against their government. The Constitution was designed to protect the people and limit the federal government. That is not revisionist history that is a fact, original intent.

wow, what a morning with all this rhetoric. this is a simple story, part of what happens during the least week and the political “get out the vote” effort. what I want to know from kasich, is why he didn’t show up for the pre-acknowledged radio show w/strickland yesterday, where people could call in with questions? He agreed to this and the format, then cancelled ten minutes prior to air time.

Has that teacher been fired (referring to previous poster “3 schools in Cincinnati took the students to vote early last week and only gave them a Democrat sample balott, and then took them out for icecream, BUT NOT ONE MENTION IN THR DDN BIRD CAGE LINER.”) We are watching the end of our republic, people. When our schools are teaching our kids not to listen to their parents…when our teachers are taking advantage of student’s minds that haven’t had the chance to grow and mature and are so impressionable…I still remember watching the videos of elementary children singing praises to Obama, being taught to worship the communist leader of America, I can’t find the proper words to express my disdain and horror. Our servicemen have died to give us our freedoms and preserve our country, but this administration has deceived us and continues to give our money to communists/community organizations and force feeding jobs using our stimulus tax dollars to foreign countries. We must get out the vote to stop this. Please don’t let the term “communist” deter you from recognizing the evil that is suffocating our country.

As for the ‘Founding fathers’ intentions,’ well, I guess you have to make some effort in studying them through their ‘intentional’ design of the Constitution and its self-correcting provisions for changes. For example, freedom of speech was actually ‘intended’ for members of Congress to facilitate meaningful, represenatational debate on the floors of both houses. It was Supreme Court decisions which expanded and interpreted that to every citizen on a case by cases basis. So, my point is before heralding the intentions of the Founding Fathers as a point of return, recognize the substance and fine tuning our great Constitution has undergone. Remember, before retreating to the good ole days of 1781 when we were in debt and the topic addressed in 19th Amendment (that’s the womens vote thing, btw) wasn’t even considered, we are far better off today than then. That was ‘their’ intent.

@Joanna….First of, America is not ‘broken’ or in need of a symbolic image change to fit the Tea Party’s selective view of history and myopic analysis of current problems. We are, however, in transition and deciding how much we want government in our lives to facilitate a reasonable standard of living. The right and left extremes are, as usual, pandering to fears, not wisdom. Most of everyday American life takes place in the middle and both parties know this. As an Independent, I refuse to be pushed to either extreme out of fear or anger; those ‘feelings’ don’t have term limitations and produce nothing positive.

I have put up with about all I am going to. I see crooks in the White House with communist friends like George Soros and Van Jones. Cass Sunstein taking up the rear. These people actually support control of our freedom of speech, our rights to keep and bear arms and plan to control alot more of our lives if we let them. I am American and I stand up and say NO! I support Portman for Senator and Boehner for Congress. Close that southern border and I mean close it. We have had an invasion of Mexicans! What kind of law and order is that? I don’t have any respect for Islam or anything about their religion. I care about our national security! Boehner and Portman are the people we need. Congressman Turner is good for the Montgomery area as someone wrote about in this comment section! We need to stand up for our country while Obama is running around bad mouthing Republicans. Obama and his agenda will be the destruction of America if we let him. Boehner, Portman and Turner are the good men to support!

I like Strickland because he supports our gun rights more than Kasich according to the National Rifle Assoc. For Senator, I know without a doubt that Portman is who I support. He is opposed to the healthcare bill, he supports our gun rights, he is opposed to cap and trade, he wants border control, he supports our freedom of speech. Portman it is for me! John Boehner could be our next speaker of the House. He would be a decent person over that nut case Nancy Pelosi. She has actually closed the door on legislative action and not let all legislators in. Corrupt is the word for Pelosi. My vote goes to John Boehner and for the Montgomery and Warren County areas Turner is a good man for Congress. My vote goes to Boehner for my area! Our very freedom, free speech, freedom to choose what we want for our children in school, depends on this vote. Boehner and Portman! Good family people!

For the longest time now, I have heard various people on alternative media saying that America needs a new symbol, cause the Eagle just isn’t cutting it anymore. I have heard them say that Americans are more like the ostrich with it’s head stuck firmly in the sand, but I disagree. I think America either needs to re-adopt the eagle as a symbol of the way we are/want to be, or we need to adopt a huge crest emblazoned with the dodo bird, because we have became a decadent, lazy & gullible bunch that is about to go extinct!!! Don’t get mad, yet…. Lend me a few minutes of your time before Snookie/Paris/LiLo/biggest looser ect. comes on air & Try to follow my logic, & feel free to correct me if I am wrong… Because the Lord know I only wish I was a kook who is dead wrong….. Most People are either struggling to cover the basics to keep themselves & their families living, or they are caught up in TV, Facebook, partying, drugs, celebrity news (useless s**t) & have no interest in any of the irons that our Gov’t is clasping around our ankles and neck!! I have heard it all; “The Gov’t is only acting for the greater good.” ” Nothing REALLY bad will happen in our life time” yadda-yadda -yadda…. So let’s look at what our loving Government has planned for US, regardless of who gets voted in. We need to take a good look at the real issues… We have all heard about how great the “Carbon Taxes” are for the enviroment. We all need to go green, right. blah blah blah…. Well right now WE NEED JOBS… These idiots in Washington D.C. have already sent how many jobs overseas thru trade agreements(nafta). Carbon taxes is only a means to TAX what jobs we have left to the tune of 5% the first year, & 20% when full in force. We can not compete in the global market place as it is, so raising the taxes on employers/employees will cost us more jobs…. Not to mention… This is just proof that the elite have finally figured out to TAX us for breathing!! (insert evil laugh) Mark my words, soon after election the current congress will attempt to pass legislation to issue a new round of quantitative easing (QE2) in the form of new bailouts for the mortgage backed security which would give the Banksters $2-7 Trillion of our tax dollars & our mortgages. (So if your house is still owed on, the banksters can/will take it) No matter who is elected, you all must let your rep know that we will not tolerate QE2!!!! I have read in the newspaper where certain cities are considering allowing “Non-citizens” (illegals) vote in elections. HELLO, that is a Federal Offense!! (1996) But the powers that be are counting on us being a bunch of stupid slobs to go along with their plan to ensure their continued control of us. A gov’t that says homegrown foods are not good for you, you must eat at the local fast-food joint. (So Uncle Sam can get another cut of your hard earned money). So on & so forth.. The only way ouR once great nation will ever get back on track is if/when WE stand up & demand the the Gov’t is restricted to the size & scope the Founding Father’s had intended. Our Government is the servant of the people…. People serving the Government is SLAVERY, serving the UN is feudalism!!! There is a laundry list that needs to be enacted, or remedied in order to achieve our former grace & Liberty. The first step is to Stand up & get educated on the issues & then PEACEFULLY PROTEST all this robber barren bullshit!!! Forget Political correctness, we are not bought & paid for politicians, we are real everyday people. Until the Gov’t can handle the jobs entrusted to it by the US Constitution, it should be further banned from expanded it’s destructive practices upon the rest of society. Fix Trade agreements in favor of American workers not American based corporations (Trade Agreements Act 1976 & all that followed) Immigration reform (Boot out the illegals & make them wait in line like everyone else) No more Cooperate welfare! Any public service employee should be very afraid for their job if Kasich gets elected. Any teacher, policeman, fireman and Ohio state employee that votes for Kasich is voting themselves out of a job or a big pay and pension cut. Lost millions of dollars of Ohio pension funds when Kasich worked for Wall Street firm bankrupt Lehmans.
