The screening committee will make a recommendation to the Republican caucus which will make the appointment.
Husted was elected secretary of state on Nov. 2 and will leave the Senate in January to take his new job.

Has anyone who lives in Columbus or for that matter Toledo or any other city applied for the job. Location should not matter since it didnt matter for Husted.
