Bob Bennett, former Ohio Republican chairman, has been named to a top post at the 2012 Republican National Convention by Michael Steele, chairman of the Republican National Committee.
Bennett will be chairman of the Committee on Arrangements for the convention in Tampa, Fla., set for the week of Aug. 27, 2012.
“Bob’s proven leadership, experience, and success in Ohio will be reflected in the success of the 2012 Convention,” Steele said Monday in a press release.
Bennett said he was “honored” by the appointment.
