Kasich inaugural ticket information announced
The inaugural committee for Republican Gov.-elect John Kasich and Lt. Gov.-elect Mary Taylor on Tuesday announced information for how the public may acquire tickets to inaugural activities.
Demand for public tickets is expected to exceed supply so those interested are encouraged to reserve tickets early, the Kasich-Taylor New Day Committee said in a press release. The events will run from Friday, Jan. 7 to Monday, Jan. 10.
Most events are ticketed and information has been sent to invited guests, the committee said. The committee is funded by private donations, not taxpayers’ money, in compliance with Ohio law.
Ohioans can visit http://NewDayOhio.com/Tickets or call 614-824-1152 for ticket information, the committee said.
“There are numerous opportunities for Ohioans to celebrate the inauguration of Gov.-elect John Kasich and Lt. Gov.-elect Mary Taylor and to welcome in an opportunity to restore prosperity to our great state,” Doug Preisse, committee chairman, said in a press release.

Kasich becoming the Gov of Ohio was one of the single worst things that could have happened to Ohio. It would seem to me that the people who voted for him were clueless as to his track record. It will never cease to amaze me the low IQ, low information voters that cling to the lies, spin and misinformation it takes to get men like him Portman and Boehner into office. Not to mention the money. Ohio is going to be sorry we elected this joker. You think things are bad now, just wait till Kasich and the repubs are done.

Kasich says that the private business companies will save Ohioians! I guess those voters who voted for him believe that! Under Kasich, Ohioians will see high gas prices and No alternative to transportation car only under Kasich! The state who gets Ohio money for passenger trains will be productive and create jobs and will have an alternative besides just a car and highway! What a great xmas gift Ohio gave to another state!

You will notice that Mark Montgomery had not one word to say about the article. All he did is throw insults around. Quite the intellectual our Mark is isn’t he? Another angry frustrated lefty who is so frustrated he feels the need to post here while living in NY. Oh yes,he’s the worlds foremost authority on creationism/evolution,global warming( oh wait it’s called climate change now),and I’m sure many other things. Well Mark,do us all a favor and stay in NY. Merry Christmas to all!! (yes Mark even you)

Gee, I’m not surprised at all with these poor, pitiful liberal comments on here, since the DDN is a totally liberal slanted paper. Perhaps you folks have forgotten the estimated $1million price tag of Governor Strickland’s inauguration events? http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-12-21-inauguration-inside_x.htm

Maybe those $150 tickets will somehow make up for the $250 million dollars he lost us.

Really? I think you had better go see who paid for that poll dude. I have never met a republican who believed that nonsense about this world only being here for 10,000 years. Most of us are not that stupid or sheeplike.

The Republicans are truly the party of anti-intellectualism. A poll came out today that showed 52% of all Republicans believe in strict creationism, that mankind has only been here 10,000 years and that evolution is not valid. Add this to the hare-brained Republican mantra that global warming is not true and you have a scary number of ignorant people populating the Republican party. Sarah Palin is emblematic of the type of idiots we are now seeing surface in the Republican party. It’s a circular firing squad and the Republicans are all crack shots! All you crony capitalists come to all the inauguration events and bring your non price competitive contracts and one sided rip off tax abatement deals for approval. Become wealthly the Republican way. This way we can be non-transparent and blame it on government, because according to us Repulicans, government doesn’t do anything right. And we’re going to prove it again. Remember the Coin Dealer and a big crony Republican that lost millions of dollars of Ohio funds investing in his coins he couldn’t find in his inventory.

Instead of inaugural ball, it should be called the Predators Ball based on the book about the greedy on wall street. Ohio is in for a longgggg 4 years with this egomaniac in charge.

What does one get for a $150 ticket to the inaugural ball? A handshake won’t get it.

I wouldn’t waste my time, my money or my energy on attending or watching on TV any of these inauguration functions. With our state in financial straights, why is Kasich having 8 parties??? It is excessive and unnecessary.
