Former Boyce deputy joins Key
Amer Ahmad, who served as Democrat Kevin Boyce’s deputy state treasurer, joined Key Corporate Bank as senior vice president and head of the Public Sector Group.
Ahmad will be based in Columbus but also have an office in Cleveland.
Ahmad served as deputy state treasurer under both Boyce and Democrat Richard Cordray but left the office when Boyce lost his election bid to Republican Josh Mandel.
Democrat Richard Cordray hired Ahmad into the state treasurer’s office and Ahmad continued
Prior to joining the state treasury, Ahmad worked in the financial markets for William Blair & Co. L.L.C., Nomura Wasserstein Perella & Co. Ltd., and Wasserstein Perella & Co., Inc. A native of Canton, Ahmad holds a bachelor’s in political science from Columbia University and a master’s in business administration from Harvard University.

How come the Mayor is not stopping the job losses? Where is our Mayor? He must be letting these jobs go just like X-Mayor McLin.

Welcome Mr. Ahmad. Now as for the 35-40 Key Bank employees(debit card/dispute dept)downtown we will be saying good bye in the next 6 months.These Daytonians jobs will be outsourced to India. Good luck to our neighbors finding comparable work in the Obama economy.Key Bank has been transferring jobs out of downtown for years so why don’t we reward Key’s “loyalty” by supporting our local credit unions.
