Obama backers to gather in Dayton for State of the Union speech

Volunteers with Organizing for America, the grassroots organization backing President Barack Obama’s agenda, will gather at Montgomery County Democratic headquarters in Dayton on Tuesday to hear Obama’s State of the Union speech.

The “Watch Party” is open to the public, said Mark Owens, Montgomery County Democratic chairman.

The speech is at 9 p.m. and the party headquarters is downtown at 131 S. Wilkinson St.

The gathering is one of several planned for across Ohio and the country, a press release said.
