Kasich’s approval slips in new PPP poll

Republican Gov. John Kasich’s approval rating has slipped in a new survey released Wednesday by Public Policy Polling, a Raleigh, N.C.-based Democratic polling company.

In the poll, not paid for or authorized by any political organization or campaign, 33 percent of voters approved Kasich’s performance, while 56 percent disapproved, down slightly from a 35-54 spread in March.

Kasich’s approval-disapproval rating among Republicans has slipped from 71-18 percent to 58-28 percent in the new poll.

The poll also found that if voters had last November’s election to do over, they’d back Democrat Ted Strickland, whom Kasich defeated, 59-34 percent.

The poll also found that 55 percent of voters want to repeal Senate Bill 5, legislation restricting public employee collective bargaining rights.

PPP surveyed 565 Ohio voters from Thursday, May 19 to Sunday, May 22 and the poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.1percent. PPP uses automated telephone interviews for its surveys.

The logo on the Union flag is similar to the logo on the communist flag. Unions are socialist. Look at Brittain’s riots and you will see where they stand. S. Lerner, Union Leader, showed what they are all about in NY meeting with Francis Pivon—sabotaging our free market, our capitalist Republic. Time to get rid of the corruptive Union involvement in our public sector. The private sector suffered enough under the unions, putting car companies out of business. Time to get rid of the violence and threats of the unions.

I’ve already decided, a long time ago, that Kasich is a piece of neocon garbage and I’m voting him out in the next gubernatorial election. After 2014, Ohio will once again be a definitive blue state with a democratic or in my preference, an independent governor in office, who can undue the damage Kasich is already causing. Unions and working families, forever. Kasich and his neocon agenda, NEVER!!!

Bob, couldn’t you find anything to say regarding the subject of this thread? Attacking me will get you nowhere. Perhaps you should take a reading comprehension course. Joanie, ditto. You have nothing of substance to say, only attacks on me, and you don’t even know me. How about arguing the issues instead of waging attacks, or is that all you liberals have? And to tiredofit—you are entitled to vote however you please, but don’t represent what is actually going on here. No, the public workers aren’t to blame, but the unions have contributed to the problem, and that is what is being addressed by Kasich, who is responsible for balancing the budget that Stricknine left behind.

Squirrelly Girl, how can you expect anyone to remember everything you write in your posts? They are so frequent, long, incoherent, and just plain crazy. Now I’m sure you will post an attack rant against me, since that’s your MO. Give it your best shot!

Joanie, You came short on your attempt at humour (last sentence). I didn’t say Obama has taken over the US press. I said George Soros bought the media. Also, Obama is pushing the fairness doctrine which would push out media that opposes their socialist agenda. It’s all true. And there is another flotilla scheduled for approx. 7 Jun that will attempt to get through Israel’s borders and will force Israel to protect her borders. People may get wounded or even die, and this is all planned so that UN’s R2P (Responsibility to Protect) will allow UN to do what it has wanted to do for some time now: Attack Israel for (false allegation) attacking unarmed civilians. It won’t be true, just like it wasn’t true the last time. But Obama used UN’s R2P to attack Libya w/o Congress’ approval, and he COULD use R2P to attack Israel next. Are you paying attention, Joanie? Did you “get it” this time?

The PPP poll is funded by the Democratic party and is not an unbiased poll which means it is totally useless and disregarded. People on this thread have renounced this poll over and over again. Regarding Israel, actions speak louder than words. Israeli Prime Minister met with Obama. He gently lectured Obama while Obama held his mouth in his hand. He told Obama Israel could not give up the land they had fought for in ‘67 because their borders would be indefensible, and that Hamas wanted every Israeli dead and that Palestine won’t even acknowledge Israel’s existence. Israel can’t negotiate with people who want to annilate them. Whether or not you want to acknowledge him as the Prime Minister of Israel is your own personal problem. Whether you believe our president has the right to demand Israel do anything at all is again, another of your personal problems. Obama speaks without thinking all the time. He also spews forth lies. He has lied just about everything, including his agenda. I don’t care if you agree or not with anything I post here, Joanie. I don’t think you are very smart because you don’t seem to see what is going on in the world. Israel is surrounded by enemies that want her annilated. If Israel gives up any of her borders, she could be destroyed by them. Even the countries that were at peace with Israel for decades are now experiencing upheaval and are being taken over by radical Islams who swear to kill every Jew. They are indoctrinated to do this from their youth. I have seen some videos of how these children are indoctrinated to become “martyrs”. I watched one yesterday on tv (yeah, it was on the Glenn Beck Show) that showed a kid calling his instructor bin Laden and was looking for his “target” from an instructional plane. You are so lost, you are so blind, and you don’t even want help. Continue to believe the “Arab Spring” is a coincidental happening all at one time that is not connected in anyway to each other, that it’s not a Caliphate organizing to annilate the Jews. Go ahead and live in your made up world, Joanie. But you can’t keep the truth from the rest of the world, no matter how hard you try.

This blog has gone pretty far afield from the K-sick poll. Squirrelly, you say you have a job. Do your employers know you spend all day watching Fox and posting on DDN instead of doing the job they pay you for? Since this is no longer about the K-sick poll, a friend living in Israel told me that the Tel Aviv newspaper Ma’ariv published a poll reporting that 57% of Israelis agree with Obama’s Mid-East peace plan. And a Ben Caspit, columnist for this paper wrote that Netanyahu holds only the opinion of the far right. Caspit wrote “most of us have understood for years that peace will mean land swamps. More importantly, Obama clearly rejected the Palestinians’ right of return to their ancestors’ homes by saying that Israel would remain ‘a Jewish state and homeland for the Jewish people.’ Obama’s vision of a future Palestinian state, and the peace that such an arrangement can bring Israel may be thoroughly anti-Netanyahu, but it is unequivically por-Israel. I know SG claims Obama has taken over the US press, but he isn’t scheduled to take over the Israeli press till July.

On second thought, go ahead and spew your hatred filled ignorant talk, liberals. You show yourselves for what you are. Go ahead and make fun of God, taunt Him, your creator. God has brought down Kings for less. You think you are better than God? You question God’s word. You say He has no relevance to this world, or that we created God because we needed something to lean on. You haven’t even bothered to read the Bible, God’s Word to all mankind. You are ignorant of the facts, that God sacrificed His only Son to take all of our sins upon Himself, to where God the Father couldn’t even look at His Son, because sin separates man from God. Go ahead and make fun of the rapture. If you even had a little faith, you could do a search on the internet for it, and find that all of the signs have been fulfilled and all true Christians are waiting for God to return, because the Bible says He will. That’s fine. You stay that way, close your eyes, your eye sight is dimmed by your sins. You don’t see the truth because God has allowed you to be blinded to it. When you stand before God, He will ask you why you didn’t accept the work Jesus did on the cross for your sins. You can tell Him you were too busy making fun of Him…That’s right!

TO: getalife or anyone else who likes to tell people with opposing views they have no right to express them here: YOU SHUT UP! YOU LIBERALS SHOULD ALL BE PUT OUT OF YOUR MISERY!! I’ve got a job, thank you. And I will continue to express my opinions. You liberals are so blind, so naive, so ignorant of facts, you make my head hurt. You can’t think for yourselves, you need to check with each other to make sure your opinions fit your socialist agenda and when you do express your opinions, they are so messed up with name calling…what are you afraid of? There’s only 18% of you that believe in socialism. The rest of Americans want freedom, capitalism, for our reps to obey our laws. Instead, we get third rate Chicago thug lawyers who take over our highest offices and spew hate and division to the American public. We are now in a 3rd war, and Congress wasn’t even acknowledged even though our laws require it. You complain about how Republicans operate until you find yourselves using the same tactics, and all of a sudden it is okay to use them. Wage war Afghanistan, Obama extends it. Wage war in Libya? No Congressional support, and UN gives Obama the marching orders, since Obama no longer recognizes Congress. We have a runaway dictator here, folks. And BTW, this PPP poll WAS FUNDED BY DEMOCRATIC PARTY SO IT IS NOT UNBIASED WHICH MEANS IT IS USELESS!

It is certainly possible to skew a poll by the way you word the questions. If you click on the blue words Public Policy Polling in the above article, you can scroll down and see the actual questions and the results for each question. Judge for yourself if it’s a skewed poll or not. Or continue to whine about a skewed poll. I certainly haven’t seen any polls that say Ohioans love K-sick. You will also find info about how the poll was taken. It’s a small sample, but typical size for polls of this type.

I was watching channel 70 news and they were discussing a PPP poll where Kasich they claimed only had 33% approval and would cause Ohio to go to the Democrats and would help win Obama the election. BS! These PPP polls are a joke. They aren’t reliable because they are FUNDED by the Democrats. Don’t you get that? And Kasich didn’t get us into this mess, Strickland did. Reducing the control Unions have on public sector jobs is required so that Kasich can balance our state budget. Once you investigate the ties Unions have to corruption and also their ties to the left wing radicals, you will see that Unions have outlived their benefits to workers. When they are shooing off jobs, it’s time for them to go out like the dinosaurs. I discount the PPP polls because I know they are skewed to make the Democrats look better, because the polls are funded by them. It’s a no-brainer. And Kasich WAS elected to do exactly what he is doing. We should thank God we have a man who believes in God and studies the Bible. I believe people who are moral make better decisions imo. I think our country needs lots of prayer. We are headed towards socialism under Obama’s rule. He rules like a dictator, discounts our laws, and disrespects our Constitution. BTW, why do you think the liberals hate and try to publicly humiliate Sarah Palin so much? I think they are scared of her. She’s not afraid to say what the conservatives are thinking, and although she may not be as good an “orator” as Obama, her words have substance and ring with reality. Obama’s rhetoric? Not so much…

Debbie Debbie, such hatred inside you. Since when did it matter how much someone won an election by? You win or lose,no shades of gray there. Also he doesn’t rule,he governs. I know that’s hard for die hard Obama fans who feel he is their king and often refer to “his reign” to understand but take a shot at it. How is he punishing police, firefighters, and teachers? He isn’t. How nice of you to call those of us who voted for him “Main St. Billy Bobs”. I’m sure you mean it in a derogatory manner. How could you not with such hatred in you. I think you need to wake up and look at the Dems connections to big business and Wall St.,oh I forgot, that’s different isn’t it? Kasich is a joke! He barely won the election and is ruling like it was a landslide. Give me a break! Kasich will be a one-time governor because he doesn’t care about the people. He is a hated man and couldn’t care less. He called the police “idiots”, and he gives public school teachers zero respect. He’s cutting salaries of the middle-class at the same time that he is slashing the taxes of the rich. Guess what, Kasich? We will remember what you have done!!! The economy is horrible and you are punishing police officers, teachers, and fire fighters. Who do you think you are? Oh, yea…. a typical Republican who tries to get the Main Street Billy Bobs to think he’s on their side. The sad part is that a good majority of them do. Wake up America! You are the Republican’s puppets. They cater to you to get your vote, and then they make laws to protect the rich.

Any poll that doesn’t agree with what Republicans believe the world to be is “liberal-biased” and “skewed”. Unfortunately, the rest of us have to live in the real world. Kasich is still governor. He’s still running the state into the ground. If a Democrat had tried to get rid of public unions, there would’ve been rioting in the streets. But it’s a double standard for Lehman Brothers’ favorite son.

What don said. That’s right! I think the Democrats should sit in the back of the bus while Kasich cleans up the mess they left behind. I won’t call the Democrats “enemies” like Obama referred to Republicans. I think the Democrats were eaten by the progressives/socialists. The Democratic party doesn’t exist anymore. They should rename the party “Communist” or “Socialist” party if they want to be truthful. Check out FDR or Woodrow Wilson’s presidency’s and you will see similarities about how certain ethnic groups are treated, about how similar policies are forced on Americans, about how freedom is redefined. But don’t use the textbooks in our schools to look up this information because they have been rewritten by the progressives to hide the violence and bad policies that these presidencies truly embraced. Yahoo search and find out for yourselves how your Democratic party has changed and how Obama’s anticolonial socialist idealogy is changing the meaning of the “American Dream” we all think it is supposed to mean.

Snowball, pointing out an actual fact is not whining by anyone’s standards except those like you that are reality challenged. Not being able to acknowledge an obvious fact speaks volumes to your lack of ability to seek or understand the truth. Have your little warm fuzzy feeling over a “created” story by DDN citing an intentionally biased polling company’s self serving poll. That’s OK. You could accomplish the same by peeing your pants. Facts have a way of eventually rising to the top. Facts such as Kasich has succeeded in neutering the corrupt unions in this state. You will not be able to reverse SB5, you will not be able to recall Kasich despite all your talk otherwise. A vocal minority may be able to yell longer, cry louder, but you just don’t have the numbers. There are many more people in this state that are sick and tired of unions, their unreasonable demands and their poor results. How could as you say, such a fool like Kasich catch your union leaders asleep at the switch? But he did. Its funny, you people are still in unquestioning lockstep with unions, that has been selling its members out for a long time, just to insure its own survival. So suck it up skippy-boy, grow some balls and quit accepting your unions lies and directly challenge them to explain how they could have their clocks cleaned. Take it from me, someone who has been on the “union inside”. All you are to them is the dues you give them each month, and a pre-counted democratic vote in November. They assume they can get away with anything they want, and you keep showing them they can. You can’t respond directly to SQ Girl, IsObamamentally stable? with anything but name calling, cause you can’t actually address, discuss or debate with anything that resembles intelligence, so you resort to name calling. A recent case in point was Obama’s bizarre and meandering 17-minute, 2,500-word answer to the simple question about how he could justify raising taxes for ObamaCare during a recession when citizens are already overtaxed. Obama’s wildly inappropriate answer left the audience stunned and led commentator Charles Krauthammer to mockingly say, “I don’t know why you are so surprised. It’s only nine times the length of the Gettysburg address, and after all Lincoln was answering an easier question, the higher purpose of the union and the soldiers who fell in battle.” This lapse of delusion occurred in front of a friendly audience. Overall, Barack Obama seems to be slipping into a slightly more delusional state these days. On Monday, following his embarrassing answer on Saturday, Obama stopped by the Washington Nationals home opener to loft an effeminate toss toward home plate constituting the ceremonial first pitch. After this display, Obama was mucking it up in the press booth talking about his love of the Chicago White Sox. The announcers asked Obama which players he supported growing up a White Sox fan. After hemming and hawing for about 30 seconds, Obama responded that he grew up in Hawaii and was actually an A’s fan. Again, he avoided mentioning any players by name. Obama seems to believe that he can say whatever he wants, and not reap the consequences or be forced to defend his empty assertions. Obama behaves in a manner so disconnected from reality that he is shocked when someone has the audacity to question him. Obama acts like his word is infallible. In March of last year Obama was on “60 Minutes” with Steve Kroft. Throughout the interview as Kroft questioned about the economic downturn and people losing their life savings, Obama just kept laughing. A one point CBS’s Kroft stopped him and asked, “Are you punch drunk?” How will the American people react to seeing their president laugh off their predicament? Obama’s inappropriate laughter clearly demonstrated he has lost touch with the pain that people are feeling. Obama portrays himself as the larger-than-life figure towering above the political fray. At the summit when Obama was pushing his health care package through Congress, he attempted to act as if he were the chief arbiter of truth. With petty insults, he slapped down what the Republicans proposed and audaciously claimed his was a “bipartisan bill.” Obama distorts the truth with such frequency that one must start to question if Obama even realizes he is lying or is so disassociated from the truth that he believes what he says. A further example of Obama’s delusions of grandeur occurred when he gave himself a “good solid B plus.” Believing that his presidency was an above average success when America is hurting is absurd. Obama went so far as to claim that he would give himself an “A” once health care was passed. Obama is not living in the same reality as the rest of us. As Charles Krauthammer wrote, “Not that Obama considers himself divine. (He sees himself as merely messianic, or, at worst, apostolic.) But he does position himself as hovering above mere mortals, mere country, to gaze benignly upon the darkling plain beneath him where ignorant armies clash by night, blind to the common humanity that only he can see.” Obama sees himself as the greatest man to be president in all time. He truly believes it when he said “we are the ones we have been waiting for,” and “this is the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and the planet began to heal.” He believes that he can do anything he pleases and the people will love him for it. Obama plans to radically transform this country and go down in history as, in his mind, the greatest ever. Obama is clearly disconnected from reality. Obama is, according to Newt Gingrich, “potentially the most dangerous (president), because he so completely misunderstands reality.” Gingrich was referring to Obama’s inept and weak stance on missile defense amongst other things. Even Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that Obama is an amateur; so much for wowing the world. Obama lives in an alternate universe where he treats our friends poorly and expects our enemies to change and become our friends. Here’s hoping that the voters help to connect this president back to reality in November.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2011/05/25/2011-05-25presidentobamabotchestoasttoqueenatbuckinghampalaceduringlondontrip_v.html Oops. President Obama botched his toast to the Queen on Tuesday night, delivering his remarks at the wrong time, awkwardly resulting in no one drinking from their glasses. “Ladies and gentlemen, please stand with me and raise your glasses as I propose a toast. To Her Majesty the Queen,” the commander-in-chief said at the Buckingham Palace state dinner. Then, the orchestra — apparently thinking Obama was finished — began playing “God Save the Queen.” Instead of waiting for the British anthem to finish, Obama plodded through his toast, quoting Shakespeare and praising the relationship between Britain and the U.S. But when he raised his glass, no one else followed suit, as the band played on. The Queen merely glanced in Obama’s direction while others stoically looked ahead. Obama nervously placed his glass back on the table and waited for the song to end, at which point the Queen raised her glass. In the U.K, it’s customary for people to stand at attention when the national anthem is played, according to London’s Telegraph.

Obama sure likes to travel around the world, especially when he stirs up trouble and doesn’t want to deal with it. Don’t you like how he destroyed America’s friendship with Israel by telling them to give back land they fought for in ‘67, and then flying out of the country when Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu addresses our Congress? How much did this last trip cost America? Did you like Obama’s fake Irish accent? How about how Obama flubbed his toast to the Queen of England?

How many times have the DEMOCRAT PROGRESSIVES stolen from the social security “lock box” and redistributed that money to community organizations and special interest groups, and then pad their own pockets? Who made out on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, who forced banks to give loans to people who weren’t able to pay them? And what is that gizmo that Fannie Mae patented that covers our electrical outlets and regulates how much (if any) electricity we are allowed to use in our own homes? These progressives won’t answer their arguments, they divert attention to something else. Sneaky slimy bugers!

Oh J, please take all of my possessions and redistribute them to Africa. Please do it right now, for my good! And while you’re at it, take the farmers’ land and export all of the corn and crops, so that we can die from famine. And make sure Americans lose their jobs so they don’t need to use their cars to get to work and waste that precious oil we are stealing (I mean buying) from our enemies. And when I have spent all of my life paying taxes, steal $500 Billion from medicare to fund abortions and to fund death panels, and hire a bunch of IRS agents to make sure tanning beds are paying their extra share! So…Obama added $4 trillion to our budget for our good? Where did the money go? Where are all the shovel ready jobs? Why is our dollar worth less, and why did oil go up? Why is gas at the pump $4/gal? I heard about our stimulus dollars going to fund basketweaving festivals, studies of dating habits of female college co-ed students, and to the NY arts to fund communist organizations that are seeking to overthrow our capitalistic government. And please tell me how communist Van Jones is the right person to have his curriculum taught to our children?

Obama added 4 trillion U.S. dollars to the deficit. It was 10 trillion when he got into office. He came up with a joke of a proposal to reduce the budget that didn’t even get one Democratic vote. His hc bill will redistribute wealth in America unfairly. The very young and the elderly will pay with their lives, their livlihood. This is the thanks that Obama thinks the elderly deserve for no longer being able to contribute to society. Obama’s idealogy scares the crap out of me. I still don’t get why our media was so easily paid off to not report on Obama’s background, his dark affiliations with Black Panthers, left wing radicals, Bill Ayers, Rev Wright. His continuance of job killing bills, his regulatory czar Cass Sustein and his scary wife who proposed the R2P to the UN that Obama used to bomb Libya. These are scary times. You can choose to hide your head in the sand and say it isn’t so, but it won’t make it go away. Both parties, Republican and Democrats, have made mistakes in the past. But the Democratic party has been eaten by the progressives, those who are seeking to switch our country to socialism. It is only a matter of time under Obama’s hard oppression that he will accomplish that he set forth to do. Look up anti-colonialism, because that is Obama’s idealogy. He is a radical, not a centrist. You can’t defend his economic policies, his policies that skyrocket our energy costs. You can’t defend his giving away American dollars to other countries for drilling there in Brazil, for jobs there in Mexico and China. You cannot justify these actions when millions of Americans are suffering from unemployment. BTW, PPP is a liberal poll funded by the liberal party and is not worthy to be used here as DDN chooses. DDN is a liberal voice box to the progressives and unions who are attempting to overthrow our country. The Democratic party is not the same party it was in your dad’s day. Get your heads out of your axxs!

The progressives are trying very hard to overturn our capitalistic government and switch us to socialism. There’s no doubt that they will fight all Republican efforts to control and stabilize spending. The progressives also use the Unions to force their agenda on us. The unions have been corrupt for a long time now. They use violence and threats to get what they want. They use their members’ due unknowingly in some cases to fund the uprisings around the world. You can thank the unions, Code Pink, and George Soros’ money for teaming up with Radical Islams to cause chaos around the globe and here in the states. Kasich is too smart to let the unions interfere with cleaning up what Strickland left behind. The next Flotilla is scheduled for June, isn’t it? They will attempt to go through Israel’s borders. Since Israel can’t allow this, people will die. UN will use R2P to attack Israel, and Obama, if still in power, will bomb Israel, our ally, on the lie that Israel attacked Palestinian civilians when in reality they were provoked and had to defend their nation. If you are putting your head in the sand and ignoring all of this going on, you are part of the problem, not the solution. Obama has set the whole thing in motion with his original declaration that Israel needs to give up land she fought for and defended herself for in 1967.

The democrats who cling to the lost days of union domination, high taxes, and high unemployment remind me of the old hard liners in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union who long for the “good old days.” We need a direction that takes us away from the decay and ignorance of the past. A direction that brings jobs to Ohio instead of driving them away. A direction that allows people to keep more of what they earn, which is what will eventually strengthen our economy. We need to repair the damage and get Ohio out of the deep hole it has been put in, and a return to “the good old days” isn’t the way to do it.

Well karon, the working poor and a lot of the middle class pay NO TAXES.A lot of times they get back $1000’s more than they paid in. That in itself is redistribution of wealth from those of us WHO DO PAY TAXES to those who don’t. As for why I voted for him, because he’s the right man to straighten out this mess your buddy Strickland left us in.You make laugh karon when you gripe about middle class people paying taxes and then in your next post it’s all,pay your taxes, pay your taxes.Last but not least, even discounting the fact it’s a Democratic polling company,do you honestly think polling 565 people is a good barometer of how the entire 11 million people in Ohio think? They claim an error rate of plus or minus 4.1%. Anyone who has dealt with projections knows that the more you project to higher numbers the larger your error rate becomes. This poll is laughable at best.

Strickland took a surplus and turned it into a deficit. That’s why Kasich was elected. Kasich was left with a mess to clean up. He has to balance the budget. He can’t print money like the loopy President Obama does to monetize the State’s debt. The union is corrupt and has been using members’ dues to finance their politically driven agenda. Just wait until the union wants the taxpayers to bail it out. I feel sorry for the sheep that believe the trash this progressive party is throwing at them. Kasich is doing his job.
