Drew to be new Lakota East girls basketball coach

Nikki Drew will be the new girls basketball coach at Lakota East High School pending school board approval at tonight’s meeting, according to the agenda.

Drew, a varsity assistant last year, will take over for Todd Benzinger, who resigned on Aug. 21 after one season at the helm.

Drew, the former head coach at Colerain, has been the interim head coach since then.

The Thunderhawks were 5-17 overall and 2-12 in the GMC last year.
