2009 Playoffs: Middletown mauls Moeller

Middletown made quite a return to the state football playoffs.

Playing in the postseason for the time since 1990, the Middies routed Moeller 45-10 on Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Division I, Region 4 quarterfinals at Lockland’s Roettger Stadium.

Caleb Watkins and Antonio Banks scored a pair of touchdowns apiece to lead the Middies (10-1). Moeller finishes 9-2.

Middletown advances to face Anderson, a 24-21 winner over Lakota West, next Saturday at a site to be determined.

Middies play a good offense. Defense was far superior to Moellers”s. Aaron Lewis was on fire, a sack, interception that led to a Middie TD. As your signs say, WE BELIEVE!!!!!
