Fairfield state tournament ticket information

Following is a release from the Fairfield High School athletic department regarding state tournament tickets and other details in advance of the Indians’ 8:30 p.m. semifinal game Friday against Pickerington Central:

TICKET SALE DATES/TIMES - Friday’s Semifinal Game - 8:30 p.m.

Fairfield has been allotted 2,200 tickets for Friday’s game. We have decided to do evening ticket sales to give everyone an equal chance to get the best tickets until we have sold them all. Tickets are $8 and are all together in one section in both the lower arena and upper arena areas. Any ticket purchased through Ticketmaster or OSU will cost you significantly more ($15 for lower level or $12 for upper arena), will more than likely not be together, and be further away from the court, so please be sure to buy your tickets from the school. Each ticket (except for HS student tickets which are general admission) are reserved seating and has an assigned seat number. Tickets will be sold lower levels first and filling up our assigned areas on a first come first serve basis. Method of payment for all ticket sales at school is either cash or checks made out to Fairfield City Schools. Tickets will go on sale on the following dates and times in the high school cafeteria:

Monday 6 p.m.-9p.m. - HS Cafeteria

Tuesday 6 p.m.-9p.m. - HS Cafeteria

Wednesday 5 p.m.-7 p.m. - HS Cafeteria

STUDENT TICKETS

Student tickets are in a separate section (Section 114) and are the only seats that are general admission. Student tickets are also the only tickets that will be sold at the bookeeper’s office during championship week and ARE FOR STUDENTS ONLY. Those tickets will go on sale beginning at lunch on Monday and will be sold through Thursday at 3:00 p.m. We will have a ticket person at the evening sessions to sell student tickets as well.

FINALS TICKETS for Saturday’s Game should we advance - IMPORTANT Ticket sales for the championship game are conducted by the OSU ticket office and are cash only. The sale takes place right after the semifinal game in the Auxilliary Gym in the Southwest corner of the Schottenstein Center. KEEP YOUR TICKET STUB FROM THE SEMIFINAL GAME. Fans must have a semifinal ticket stub marked with “Home” or “Visitor” on the ticket to be eligible to purchase finals tickets through this sale. All other fans may purchase finals tickets through the main ticket office if those still remain. Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis, level for level based on the semifinal stub.

OFFICIAL FAIRFIELD “FINAL FOUR”T-SHIRTS

Official Fairfield “Final Four” T-Shirts will be on sale in the cafeteria at the while we are selling tickets. They will be sold for $10. Edgewood tabs assistant as new head coach

Edgewood High School has selected longtime assistant coach Scott Clemmons as its new head football coach pending board approval.

Clemmons, an Edgewood graduate, will be recommended to the board at its March 26 meeting, athletic director John Thomas said in a release.

Clemmons has been on the varsity staff at EHS for the last 12 years. He also spent two years as a seventh-grade coach. A teacher in the district for the last five years, Clemmons and his wife, Lindsay (also an EHS grad), live in Trenton with their daughters — Ellie, 3, and 1-year-old twins Addison and Brooklynn.

“We are excited for the positive atmosphere and support coach Clemmons brings to the entire Edgewood community, and we look forward to the continued growth and success under the direction of coach Clemmons,” Thomas said.

Clemmons will replace Phil Mauro, who resigned last month after just one season (3-7) at Edgewood.
