Back to ‘Idol’-atry
Here we go again.
Tonight (Jan. 17) begins the long, forced march to the crowning a new ‘American Idol.’
I admit I get hooked on the show. But it also seems as if the preliminaries are dragged out longer every year. For a month or so we are subjected to bad singers with a “how dare they not choose me” attitude. It’s predictable, and I think it gets pretty boring.
However, others, including a fellow blogger, think the auditions are the best part of the show.
There is a solution, of course. I could skip watching the first month or so. But here’s the deal … I might miss something. I feel so weak.
What about you? Will you watch the whole four or five months? Check in toward the end? Wait till the finalists are in place? Or will you skip the whole deal and risk being left out of the water cooler chat all spring? If so, you are stronger than I.
But you knew that.
