“The Farmer Wants A Wife” New Reality TV Show
According to the Salinas Californian, the creators of the hit reality show “American Idol” are working on a project with a working title of “The Farmer Wants a Wife.” The show hopes to match young farmers with available women who will win their hearts. A similar show aired in the UK.
Sorry Ohio farmers, the producers are searching California for their contestants. The women will be shown a slice of the farm way of life attempting to break down the stereotype of the farmer in overalls. The executive director of the Monterey County Farm Bureau is quoted as saying; “I think it will present the people on the show as young, eligible farmers who are successful and sophisticated,”
The firm, Fremantle Media, is handling casting and with production to wrap up later this year and the show to air in 2007.
