Takin’ it up a notch tonight on ‘Dancing with the Stars’!
Each couple does two dances tonight; one ballroom and one Latin dance. With the level of dance that has been exhibited by most, I figure they are practicing 24/7. This week with two dances I expected to see the quality go down just a bit, but that wasn’t the case!
Jerry and Kym
Judges score for the Foxtrot: 24 out of 30
Jerry’s commitment to be serious this week showed through on his Foxtrot. Was it fabulous? Naw. Was it worthy of this show? Naw. But he did alright not being overly silly this week.
Judges score for Jerry and Kym’s Mambo: 22 out of 30
The trademark humor was back in this dance and I loved it despite the fact that he is no where near the level of dance the others are.
Final total for two weeks…64 out of 90
Monique and Louis
Judges score of their Quick Step: 27 out of 30
I enjoy Monique more each week. The judges felt she was very elegant in the Quick Step and I would have to agree. I played the dance back and Carrie Ann was right…she did almost half of the dance with her heal caught on her dress. Bravo Monique, Bravo!
Judges score for the Paso Doble: 27 out of 30
I thought Monique’s Paso Doble seemed very heavy footed (if there is such a thing) and I thought the judges were very generous with their scores. I also thought she over acted the role, but I still enjoyed the dance.
Final total for two weeks… 77 out of 90
Emmitt and Cheryl
Judges score for the Waltz: 28 of 30
I would stand in line for a place on Emmitt’s Waltz dance card any day! Wow. He blew me away. He was romantic and looked like he was floating in air. And Cheryl looked gorgeous tonight by the way.
Judges score for the Mambo: 29 of 30
Emmitt’s inner Latino came out tonight. In past Latin dance I thought he looked a little stiff and uptight, but tonight, it was like someone took over his body. He was fabulous in both dances tonight and truly deserves to be this far in the competition and I don’t think I would have said that prior to this week.
Final total for two weeks… 82 out of 90
Mario and Karina
Judges score the Foxtrot: 29 out of 30
Once again I didn’t have to highest of expectations for Mario’s ballroom dance. He’s so strong in the Latin dances I just didn’t think he would pull off this dance. But he did. Beautifully and gracefully. Karina was perfect in the Marilyn role and the choreography on this dance was awesome.
Judges score the Jive: 27 out of 30
I guess I don’t think of the Jive as a Latin dance but it was wonderful. Mario did another great job. His footwork was absolutely amazing.
Final total for two weeks:…84 out of 90
Joey and Edyta
Judges score on their Foxtrot: 29 out of 30
I thoroughly enjoyed the Singing in the Rain version of the Foxtrot. Joey is really strongest in the ballroom dances. He looks like a dancer to me. I can’t believe he’s in the bottom two.
Judges score the Mambo: 28 out of 30
I didn’t enjoy this dance nearly as much of their Foxtrot earlier this evening but it was better than I expected.
Final total for two weeks:…81 out of 90
Okay, I’ve said this almost every week since week two, but I really think America will see the light and let Jerry go home and rest. The other bottom two couple? Part of me thinks it may still be Joey or possibly Monique.
What do you think?
