Dancing with the Stars coming to Wii and Playstation
Activision has teamed up with ABC to bring one of the most popular reality TV shows, “Dancing with the Stars,” to the video game platform.
While I’m not a big video game sort of guy the Wii is fun and this could be a great combination - The Wii - dancing.
Emmitt Smith and Stacy Keibler, are just two of the stars Activision says will be a part of the new game so you can tap into your “inner dance star.”
The game for the Wii is scheduled to be released on October 30th, 2007 “and will come with a rating of “E 10+” for Ages 10 and up by the ESRB.
“Dancing with the Stars” airs Mondays at 8:00 p.m., ET and Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m., ET on ABC.

TweetMeet Project Runway 4 Desginers
For some reason Bravo has been very stingy in introducing us to the Project Runway 4 designers. But alas, I’ve found a photo gallery with all of the contestants for the upcoming series on EW’s Web site.
Not only do we get to see the designers striking a pose, we learn where they are from, tidbits from their resumes and Tim’s take on the designer’s styles.
If, as the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, we are in for a great season! Some of these contestants look wild to say the least.
Check it out (opens in new window). EW Web site.
The new series of Bravo’s “Project Runway” starts Nov. 14.
TweetWill the Anna Nicole circus ever stop?
A few months ago I wrote an Anna Nicole Smith entry thinking it would be the last. Sure, I expected a few more issues with the regard to the baby daddies to swirl around, but today’s headline seemed to pop out of nowhere.
“Six locations raided in Anna Nicole Probe”
The AP reported, “We do know from the public record that there’s someone who’s dead and her body, upon investigation, is full of controlled substances and combinations of drugs that turned out to be illegal.” Alledgedly the search is focusing on several doctor’s offices around LA. The story goes on to say there were nearly 500 pills missing from perscriptions that were less than five weeks old.
Perhaps the police have a lead in the case that will hold someone accountable for Anna Nicole’s death. But thinking back, Anna was usually at the center of her distructive behavior.
So will Anna Ever get to rest in peace? Or will this story just continue to talked about just like her idol Marilyn Monroe?
Oh yeah, where is Bobby Trendy (Sorry I always think of him whenever I think of Anna Nicole).
TweetThree Queens + One Apartment = Disaster? Donald Trump’s newest reality venture.
A new reality TV series, brainchild of Donald Trump, is set to premiere tonight on MTV. ” Pageant Place” will feature Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe sharing their after the pageant.
According to the Web site for the show, “Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe live together in a luxurious NYC apartment owned by real estate and business mogul Donald Trump? It’s true!” So what goes on behind closed doors? During the next eight weeks we’re going to find out. The show features Miss USA Rachel Smith, Miss Teen USA Katie Blair and Miss Universe Riyo Mori.

Expect to see what a beauty queen looks like when she’s not so “poised and perky,”in the middle of a cat fight or the subject a tabloid scandal, just like their mentor Miss USA Tara Conner. Imagine the drama!! My guess is that the Donald will have his hand in the editing in such a way that his brands of Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe remain in tact.
The show is set to air on MTV, Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m.
Is this a good idea for a show or just a forumla for disaster?
TweetShould reality TV producers stop illegal activity?
Here’s one of those ethical questions… and yes, it’s about reality TV.
If the producers or film crew of a show see a contestant break a law, should they intervene?
Apparently on the show “Intervention,” a reality series on A & E about addiction, allegedly, one of the participants, already drunk, took a huge swig of vodka, before heading home, in a car. The producers asked the participant if she wanted them drive and surprise, she refused and got in the car and drove herself home… with the cameras rolling.
Certainly, this isn’t the only show that has raised questions of ethics. “Kid Nation” has been accused of putting the lives of its contestants at jeopardy. Viewers and contestants alike have raised concerns about the safety for the participants of shows like CBS’s “Big Brother” and MTV’s “Real World.”
But, the question remains, who is responsible? Is it the producers of these shows have an obligation to protect those involved or is it the participants? Should A & E have called the police rather than film? Or, are the shows responsible for what happens?
TweetBeing Hung is worth $100,000
Season three of “Top Chef” finale showcased the talents of the three finalists, Casey, Hung and Dale as the fought their way to the the prize and title of “Top Chef.” Being hung is worth $100,000 as he walked away with the top prize last night (Oct. 3).

While elements of the show were live from Chicago, the location of the next series, the competition was taped in Aspen, atop a mountain at a private club. The integration of the live elements and tapped ones was a little awkard and really didn’t seem all that necessary. Although, the three contestants were able to see the show air before they found out who won (Very “Survivor” of them.)
Another twist for this year’s finale included Rocco diSpirito (former reality TV star), Michelle Bernstein and Todd English, all celebrtiy judges, to serve as the three competing chef’s sous chefs. They jumped right in and helped the competing chefs with what ever they needed. They later turned out to be the guests at the dinner.
As the show was airing, I thought Dale had pulled out the win, but in the end, I think it was Hung’s technical skills that tipped the scales in his favor.
If you watched the show… I’d love to know what you thought about the season!
TweetTop Chef Finale - Where will I get my foodie fix?
I wrote awhile back that I’ve been sucked into the reality TV food genre and as Top Chef 3 season comes to a close (WED) I wonder where I’ll find my reality TV foodie fix?
Reasons to like “Top Chef”
The quick fire challenges are my favorite - 20 minutes with just a few special ingredients - makes me think of myself looking for something to make for dinner. Although I’m sure their results look better than anything I could ever come up with (for some reason everything I come up usually ends up looking the same color - brown).
The team challenges are often the hardest to watch with the team members seemingly chosen for their ability to antagonize each other rather than the value the individuals bring to the challenge.
This season it comes down to three finalist.
Hung, Dale and Casey.

Hung is clearly on the most technically talented chefs of the group. In the last episode the judges told hung they didn’t see him or his style in the food he was creating. A common comment throughout the series.
Dale -

Dale is the most flamboyant of the group. Always ready with a quick remark when under fire. In terms of his cooking skills, he’s probably to the most darring of the group - usually ready to try something new in a challenge rather than playing it safe.
Casey -

Casey is the sleeper of the group. She’s been playing it pretty safe until the last few episodes and has found her way to winning the last few episodes.
Who will win?
We’ll see tonight at 10 on BravoTV * DVR Alert ** I saw that the show runs until 11:15 p.m. so you might check to see that your recorder has picked up on the change.
I have to say that I’m a little torn about this season. I thought CJ might have been the winner earlier in the season. But seeing that he’s gone I think the winner will be either Hung or Casey. So, as the season comes to an end, I’ll be on the lookout for a new series to feed my foodie fix… any suggestions?
TweetTop Chef 4 Takes on the Windy City
Several reports in the Chicago Tribune report filming for “Top Chef 4” is taking place in the Lakeview neighborhood .
Spotters have reported seeing 15 chefs dressed in “pukey-colored” chef jackets shopping the Whole Foods Market on Halsted Street in the northern part of Chicago. Other say they overheard the budget for the challenge was $200. For customers of the market, the vegetable selection was pretty picked over with a staffer saying, “’Top Chef’ has taken it all.”
Others have spotted Padma eating in one of the local eateries in the Lakewood area.
Seems like a trip to the windy city might be in order to get the inside scoop.
