Project Runway 4 Finale pt 1 Chris or Rami?
In last night’s (Feb 28) Project Runway Finale pt.1, the final three designers are revealed. But are the right three from this season?
I thought Rami’s designs were strong, appealing and wearable (not by me). But, what about Chris’s unusual combination of human hair and safety pin creations? Very dark and very innovative - yes a little creepy. But if you think about it, how is wearing hair on your clothes any different than wearing hair extensions?
Chris’s designs always seemed to have elements that were too costumey - but isn’t that what we see on many of the fashion runways around the world - fantasy.
Rami is talented too. Throughout the season, Rami knows how to drape fabric, but his designs were always safe and relatively boring.
Do you think the judges make a mistake picking Rami? Any favorites for the Finale?

I too, can’t imagine safety pins and real human hair - But, I’m sure, if the design is right, a designer somewhere could replicate the look in more fashion friendly materials… Thoughts on who might win?

I by far disagree with you too. Can you really see safety pins and human hair fitting in with the Michael Kors and Calvin Kleins on the runway? It was too Project Runway, not enough real fashion. I like Chris a lot, but I was totally disappointed with the costume-feel of his designs. Rami earned this chance. Besides, Chris showed at Bryant Park anyways, so did Sweet P.

I was very surprised by the judges choice of Rami over Chris. There was no comparison between their 3 chosen looks. Chris is by far the more innovative and talented of the two. I hate to think the the choice was made because Rami, himself, is more marketable.

I don’t care for Rami as a designer. I thought Chris’ 3 looks were fabulous and not too costumey at all. They were innovative and well-crafted and he deserved to go to Bryant Park.
