Project Runway 4 Fashion Week Season Finale
While season four wasn’t filled with the drama we’ve come to expect with Project Runway the designers may have been the most talented of any of the seasons to-date. (I’m writing this as I’m watching so it might ramble a bit).
Showing their wares at this year’s fashion week were Rami, Jillian and Christian.
Tim’s workroom comments appear to have given the to Rami… so we’ll just have to wait a little long to see who wins this season.
As the show continues, Christian appears to have lost his fierce edge and Jillian is managing to work my last Project Runway nerve like a unraveling seam.
Tim Gunn gave the designers a warm and Tim-like send off as they make their way to Bryant Park.
As the show gets underway - this Project Runway minions aka dressers come out of nowhere… who are they? why didn’t they use the loser from the season.
Let’s start the show. (imagine if you will - I have a set of Project Runway Judge cards and am writing a one word response to each design).
Jillian’s work was sent down the runway first. Milan - Euro-sheik - Wonderwoman - OMG what was that one - Mop - mmm - clubbing - esacapee - packing tape got loose - loved it - wow that was a pant suite - overall nice collection - very tailored. excatly what you would have expected to see from Jillian.
Up next, Rami. Boring, s , New York, ugh, China, Nice, layered (oh those pants), chilly, quiltyl OMG, Outstanding, wow (can she walk in that?) I’m under whelmed.
Finally, Christian. Fierce, Euro-trendy, WOW, sleek, sexy, These girls can walk - how can she see? - wearable, Robin Hood, Furry, marsh mellow, feather duster. Very Christian.
After the show. here are a few of the comments from the audience. Jay loved Rami. Padma loved Jillians - Nick Verreos loved Rami’s work.
The judges including Victoria Beckham debated. So, who will the judges pick? The designers seem more nervous than in the other seasons.
The viewers picked Christian… And the Judges picked - Christian and I think they got it right this season!
Your thoughts on Season 4?

Here’s the Idol Recap
Asia’h Epperson
Most Embarrassing 80s moment - Fell on skates when in movie.
My Take - After last week’s show - she’s going to have to pull it out… but did she?
I’m guessing yes. She’s safe for another week. (Paula was dancing - that’s a good sign).
Randy - It was a tall order for you to take on and it was hot.
Paula - You nailed it.
Simon - At best it was second rate Whitney.
Kady Malloy
Most Embarrassing 80s moment - Tripped over a microphone cord and the auditorium where she was singing was filled with screechy microphone sound.
My Take - She’s got to nail this to stay in it… She seemed a little off key the entire song.
Randy - Very interesting song choice. Pretty good.
Paula - To date this is your best performance.
Simon - it was better than last week… I’m still having issues with your lack of personality - it’s like the Stepford wives.
Amanda Overmyer
Most Embarrassing 80s moment - her family had a fireplace on their deck - you guessed - she started the deck and melted the pool.
My Take - Much better than last week - she’s certainly got her groove.
Randy - That the Amanda we saw and we love her - well done baby.
Paula - Your face is beautiful - Your Hair is beautiful - you found your niche.
Simon - If I’m being honest - I thought it was fantastic. It was the perfect song for you. It was great - well done.
Carly Smithson
Most Embarrassing 80s moment - Got her leg stuck in the fence - a friend greased up her leg to help her get it out as a crowd formed.
My Take - best performance of the night so far! She’s ready for the big time!
Randy - You keep smashing it every week!
Paula - Dude, Dude - you are like a dependable Dawg. You’re totally into you nice
Simon - I don’t think you chose the right song - it’s just not a great song.
Kristy Lee Cook
Most Embarrassing 80s moment - She used to pretend she was a dog - crawling around on her hands and knees.
My Take - I thought it was missing a little energy - it seemed like she phoned in the song.
Randy - Great song - you put a country lilt to it.
Paula - That could be a hit for you in country music - you look great tonight.
Simon - It was good that we heard a country influence - you’re problem is that your voice is forgettable.
Ramiele Maluby
Most Embarrassing 80s moment - As a girl she left her photo at a boy’s house - she left and watched from afar… they laughed - tear…
My Take - It Started a little slow for me - but a nice finish.
Randy - Another big song - find that confidence again - you’ve got mad vocal come on with it.
Paula - You’ve got such beautiful face. you deserve to be in the top 12.
Simon - It was good - it was very old-fashioned - it was a bit predictable.
Brooke White
Most Embarrassing 80s moment - Ran up behind a man after church thinking it was her dad… it turned out to be another man.
My Take - Okay - this might be my favorite tonight. Although a little one note.
Randy - I liked it - It allowed me to focus on your voice.
Paula - It was a wise choice you did that song.
Simon - it worked - you did an original song - you’ve got a great performance.
Syesha Mercado
Most Embarrassing 80s moment - She wrote a note to a crush and included some bubble gum - the boy told the teach and at the gum
My Take - Much better song for her than last week.
Randy - Good
Paula - Sophisticated lovely
Simon - good.
So, who’s going home? Thought anyone?
