Simon Cowell named Biggest Villain in Reality TV poll
AOL recently asked readers of its Web site to vote for the the best and worst in reality TV. So, after more than 1,300,000 votes - here are the some of the results.
In the category of “Biggest Villain,” Simon Cowell walked away with nearly 40% of the votes cast. No surprises here.
“Best Reality Show” top honors went to Fox’s “American Idol 3” followed by “Dancing with the Stars in a close second garnering 32% of the votes cast.
Worst Reality Show honors went to “Flavor of Love 3.” “A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila 2” came in second - the show’s star also earned the top spot of “Skankiest Star.” Perhaps “Star” could have been left out of the title.
Other categories included “Biggest Trainwreck” with top honors going to The Hogans of “Hogan Knows Best” and the “Star You’d Hate to Be Stuck on an Elevator With” with Omarosa taking more than 44% of the votes cast.
The list of categories goes on and on if you’d like you read it you can find it at the link below… The real question remains - Do you agree with the voters or who would you vote for if you could?

TweetReality TV Oops - Winner accidently revealed
First it was BravoTV’s “Top Chef” and now it’s happened on the Food Network. The winner of the “Next Food Network Star’ has been revealed before the show has aired. The finale show is scheduled to air tonight (Jul 27) @ 10 p.m. on the Food Network.
On Thursday, a reader on sidedish.dmagazine.com pointed out the error to fellow readers. The revealing tidbits including the exit interviews for the two ousted stars along with the winner’s thoughts were removed by the Food Network techie.
Lisa Krueger, Manager of Public Relations for Next Food Network Star responded to the Web site with the following statement:
“FoodNetwork.com experienced technical difficulties last night. As our viewers have seen on The Next Food Network Star this season, many twists and turns have taken place during the show. We encourage all to tune in on Sunday at 10pm to see who will be the Next Food Network Star.”
The three finalists, Aaron McCargo Jr, Adam Gertler and Lisa Garza each advanced to the finale in a ” Next Food Network Star” first.
Any guesses on who might have won?
Tweet“It just looks like a handi-wipe gone wrong” - Project Runway update
The first episode was full of all things that have made the “Project Runway” such a reality TV hit including the one-liners from Michael Kors. While his fashions often end up on the racks at TJ Maxx, his quips and quotes are one of the highlights of the show.
BravoTV.comTonight’s quote was one of my faves; “It just looks like a handi-wipe gone wrong.” Out of context… not so funny… but imagine a dress being paraded down the catwalk that is made of something that looks like a paper towel and you get the picture.
Did anyone else love that Austin Scarlet was a Judge… he was soooo toned down though… a little disappointing.
Do you have a Runway Fave moment or designer for this season… share ‘em here!
TweetProject Runway = Fierce Fabulous Fun! Season 5 Update
Fierce, Fabulous and fun pretty much sum up the style and sass of last season’s winner, Christian Siriano. But, will season 5 of “Project Runway” have another Christian - or perhaps another Santion like character?
Well, if the bios for the 16 contestants are any indication… YES! Just take a look at the three Ohio Natives(okay.. one’s a transplant but we will take credit where we can!).
First up - Kelli, 27 - Columbus, Ohio
Attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise Her Favorite designers are Thierry Mugler, Yohji Yamamoto and Betsey Johnson Her fashion item you’ve just got to have… A party dress.
Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, Kelli turned to retail at the age of 15 as a form of escapism and to create a unique look all her own. She fought her way through adversity, receiving a full scholarship from Bob Mackie at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise in Los Angeles. Once there, she was accepted into the Advanced Design Program where she was able to design and show a small collection in 2006. He describes himself as edgy, captivating, and alternative. Madonna has been his biggest fashion influence — he finds that her ability to explore so many styles and cultures is a great inspiration. He thinks that layering, experimenting, and leaving things to the imagination are all fashion musts.BravoTV.com

TweetAre we really surprised they bungled the upgrade? Time Warner Update
In today’s paper (July 4), Dave Larsen wrote about Time Warner’s recent upgrade and resulting debacle. On a rainy day like today… oh how we are reminded of their efforts/failings.
AS he noted, the stated goal of the upgrade was to offer a list of updated features, but was has resulted, at least in my experience, has been a system that is simply one channel change away from a restart. But should TW customers have been surprised?
Back in March, TW started the process of upgrading the system and managed to bungle and baffle the users with mixed messages in its marketing and information campaign. Not to mention the fact their system upgrade erased the recording que, not once, not twice but THREE times.
The problem for consumers looking for dependable - high-quality services in the Dayton market is that there is truly little choice. Okay, we could do without TV… (not really an option). Yes there is satellite, but it is plagued with its own set of service issues. The promise of the internet for delivery could be stalled if Time Warner and other internet service providers start charging for internet usage by the byte. So what’s a TV watcher to do?
Since this industry has been protected/restricted in Ohio by the state and local municipalities, it seems it is time for our elected officials to find a solution. Think about the transformation in the telephone industry after deregulation.
I really don’t think it is too much to ask of any service provider to deliver what they are selling in a seamless, user friendly way… do you?
TweetKristy Lee Cook gets a deal - American Idol update
Like many an American Idol reject before her, Kristy Lee Cook, signed a record deal with 19 Recordings - An Arista Label. Cook had previously been signed to the Arista label as a teen.
According to numerous reports. Cook’s first single, “15 Minutes of Shame” is set to be released August 11 with an album to follow later in the Fall. The album is being produced by, Brett James. James co-wrote “Jesus, Take the Wheel, a song that made it to the tops of the charts by another former Idol contestant, Carrie Underwood.
Cook will be traveling with the American Idol 7 Tour currently on the road. While traveling, Cook will be fitting in some recording time for her new album. Based on the September release it looks like Cook will have the first album to hit the shelves from this season’s contestants. Thus, beating out the other two Davids for the honor… we’ll see who’s album sell best.
