Two more gone on American Idol. Did you guess right?
So, two are leaving tonight and all day at work there has been a parade of Idol fans speculating. I think the only person I did not hear may be leaving was Adam.
Here’s a taste of the passionate opinions of our Idol bloggers:
Mindy - I think the bottom 3 will be Allison, Kris and Anoop. Not sure which two will go though.
Jen-bottom three will be Matt, Anoop, and Lil, with Matt safe.
ELW -Lil has got to go. Kris needs to go. Matt should have gone last week.
Heather -My bottom three - Lil, Allison and Anoop or Matt (both of the guys reluctantly). I think it will probably be Lil and Matt heading home.
Lori -My bottom three this week are Lil, Anoop & Allison with Lil & Allison going home.
Hillary-I’m thinking that Lil’, Anoop and sadly Matt might be the actual bottom 3.
Kim -I think it should be Lil and Matt to leave - but Matt could be swapped out for Anoop.
Michael-I think the bottom four are Lil, Anoop, Matt and Danny. I would hope that Lil and Anoop or Matt go home, but I would not be shocked to see Danny out in what would surprise others. (And the judges wasted their save last week.)
Trish-bottom three are Lil, Anoop and Matt with Lil and Anoop going home.
JERRI REINERT-THE TWO GOING HOME WILL BE LIL AND MATT. GREAT SUMMER & I DON’T THINK ALLISON GETS NEARLY THE CREDIT SHE DESERVES.
Elee-I have a strong feeling that the result tomorrow would be at least half a shocker. Why? It would be Lil’s final exit and Danny Gokey’s, too!
Martha-Anoop is out. His glee club renditions of ballads are boring at best! And those eyebrows! Sorry, but you are wrong about him!
Tami-Lil and Matt (or possibly Anoop) will be going home. (unless ‘vote for the worst’ gets their way and saves Lil)
Rene -My bottom 3=Lil, Matt and Allison with Matt and Lil going home.
Coach - My bottom 3 are Kris, Anoop & Allison, with Kris & Allison going home.
Shantei -My bottom 3 is also Lil, Matt and Allison with Lil and Matt going home…My mom’s bottom 3 was Anoop, Lil and Matt with the same 2 going home.
Leonard-My prediction: Lil shocks the world and survives. Matt and Anoop go home
Kelle- I’m thinking Matt, Lil and Allison with Lil and Matt going home.
Almost everyone has Lil and next in line for elimination would be Matt. We’ll see soon!
Okay, they are starting the eliminations. Ryan asks Lil to stand and tells her after the nationwide vote of 45 million votes, he asks her to go to the far side of the stage. They immediately announce that the journey ends for Lil tonight and then they make her sing. I hate that part. I feel so sorry for them but she looks like she is coping pretty well.
Now it is time for some nostalgia as Ryan tells us that we’ll be hearing a medley from some of disco’s biggest stars. Honestly, I remember the first song, Band of Gold, but not the singer Freda Payne. My first thought is she looks pretty good, but that faded quickly as she attempted to move like a 20 year old. She not only looked ridiculous but obviously was really out of breath. Now comes Thelma Houston, whom I do recognize as well as the song Don’t Leave Me This Way. Both ladies have something to learn about age appropriate dance moves. I can appreciate why some of the stars of yester year would want to take the stage again but ladies why would you embarrass yourselves this way? Wonder who is next?
Thelma then introduces Harry Casey of K.C. and the Sunshine Band. At least he had the sense to surround himself with sexy young women which drew attention away from his dance moves. Honestly, he wasn’t too bad.
Eliminations begin again with Kris standing and then sitting again, safe for one more week. Adam is asked next to stand and very quickly he is seated again, safe. Now it is Danny’s turn .and he is safe. Three left, two spots Anoop stands and Ryan tells him pretty quickly he is in the bottom three. Now it is Matt and Allison it could be either one but it should probably be Matt as much as it kills me to say it. But it’s not. Matt is safe and Allison is on her way to sit by Anoop.
David Archuleta comes on stage looking as adorable as he did all last season. That little boy charm and smile still works even if the singing was a bit pitchy at first. His song Touch a Hand is perfect for the tiny-bopper set and he is just so sweet.
Okay, it’s down to Anoop and Allison. After the season’s record breaking vote of over 45,000,000 Anoop is going home tonight and Allison is safe. Anoop holds it together through the song until the last note where he falters a bit. The film at the end gives me the chills. I cannot wait until the summer tour. It will be the best one yet.
Wow. I don’t know about ya’ll, but I’m exhausted after this show. So who is left? Adam, Danny, Allison, Kris and Matt. Anyone brave enough to predict the top two? I have a feeling that most will say Adam and .
I say Adam and Danny.

simon and paula did not even have the class to welcome archie back. As if they did not even know him. You know why? They feel guilty for allowing the rigging to take place over the title that they know to this day that belongs to Archie. Especially Paula who made him sing a song in the finale “and so it goes” that was not an indirect but a direct inuendo that was telling Archie that he was gone. Archie was just too naive to pick up on that. She has no class as simon. Simon is jealous of David because he is an american great talent and Archie is not based from England for his show. Paula is jealous of David as well because simon took a liking to him and she is into simon. they are all so corrupt in that show it’s pathetic. They won’t even release archie from freemantle yet who is in control of Davids career with the agreement from his wimped out agency. That’s why he can’t sing what he wants. Those three judges don’t deserve the money they get for being malicious, manipulative, liars, deceiving and corrupt. That is what the company is all about especially nigel. Hopefull one day David is able to distance himself from the idol people and sing what ever his heart desires.

Thanks, Heather! If that turns out to be true - it should be Matt’s week to shine. It seems like that genre would fit him really well! He even has the hat - ha!

OK Kim - I did a little digging. Not sure how reliable this site was, but they say that the contestants will be doing “Rat Pack Standards” next week. Hmmm, I don’t see Allison fairing too well with that theme!

Hey - did anyone hear the theme for next week? Heather - I think you need to be our official “googler”. :) And I’m excited because I found out that Taylor is going to be on next week - woo hoo! That will have me glued to the tube! :)

I know what you mean, Kelle - I am getting attached to all of them and hate each departure at this point. But I extra hated seeing Anoop go - a lot of my enjoyment for the show will leave with him. I did know it was coming, but I didn’t want him to go yet. I would have liked to see him finish 4th. :) My top two? Seriously - I am getting to the “I don’t care point” - I’m okay with any of them winning. I WANT the top two to be Danny & Adam, but think Kris may overtake Danny. I think Allison is worthy of it - but she has been in the bottom twice now so I just don’t think she has the support to get there. I’m guessing the next 2 weeks will be her and Matt leaving, with Danny, Adam and Kris in a shoot-out for the finals.

It was really sad to see Anoop go - I liked him a lot. But, in reality, he wasn’t going to win. Funny because I hate it when the judges say that, but I don’t think he would have. It’s definitely the best top 5 we’ve seen. It really is kind of a toss-up. Who would I prefer to see in the Top 2? Probably Danny and Kris. Unfortunately, I think it will be one of those two and Adam. Gosh, not much longer til we find out!

Everyone that is left is pretty darn good.I would say that Allison (unfortunently) or Matt will be the next one to go… but when you have 5 people that are as good as these kids are, it’s really hard to pinpoint who will be next. Final 2 for me= Adam & Kris -or- Adam & Allison.

David Archuleta is amazing. What an awesome, powerful performance. David so likeable as Ryan described.

Shantei, I’m sad to see them all go at this point…starting with Michael Sarver and Jorge Nunez. The long they are on the more it feels like we get to know them and what a nice bunch of kids! I AGREE! That Kris is the dark horse that could shock us all…

I hope the final 2 will be Adam and Allison, with Adam winning even though Allison deserves it much more. I agree that she doesn’t get near the credit she deserves. She’s a gifted performer now and being only 16, has the potential for further growth. Go Allison!

Good to see David back to the Idol. He has grown so much as a performer. Believe me. He is the nicest guy on the planet. I heard that he’s sick after his Asia tour. I am not a tiny bopper and I love Touch My Hand, such a catchy rocky song!

I was kinda sad to see Anoop leave, but I knew it was coming. Wasn’t their dance routine a bit awkward? It looked like no one knew how to dance! They kicked Lil off real quick! My mom was happy that Allison stayed, but I think that she or Matt will probably be gone next week. My top 2 is Adam and Danny, but Kris is the dark horse in this competition. He may shock America…
