What are you doing this weekend?
There’s a ton of stuff to do around here, as usual. We’re getting on our tuxes for the Artemis Gala Saturday night, and there’s more than one Oscar party in town on Sunday…
What are you doing with yourself this weekend? Got someplace/something to recommend?
Tell, tell, tell… Maybe we’ll seeya there.

Headed back to Parrish Hall at Miami U-Hamilton Saturday night to catch John Starling and Carolina Star. Another gem in one of the best music series in the midwest. Starling was the original lead singer in the Seldom Scene, the seminal bluegrass crossover group that paved the way for incorporating rock, folk and jazz into the “newgrass/acidgrass” genre. Without this bands’s endeavors, the Bela Flecks,Tony Rices,Dixie Chicks and the ultimate result of the New Grass Revival would have been a much longer time in coming. While the passing of leader John Duffey will never be overcome, this group still includes originals Mike Auldridge(dobro)and Tom Gray(upright bass). Hear a blast from the past performed by those who made it possible, starting 30+ years ago.
