More language follies and fun

Dang, you all were downright feisty last week when it came to throwing down linguistic pet peeves.

If you missed the fun, scroll down to the posts and enjoy the comments. It would be impolite for me, by the way, to point out the spelling and grammar errors some of our self-proclaimed Grammar Police employed in their contributions…So you can do it yourself!

I’m just sayin’.

And just so you know, it isn’t just English that seems under assault; reference this piece from the Times over the weekend about what’s happening to Japanese. Technology, it seems, always carries a price.

So, still got any more peeves to share? And say what you will, I have always liked the word “irksome.” In fact, I try to use it every day.

Heh-heh-heh…
