Halloween safety tips for kids, adults
Consumer Reports put together a good list of trick-or-treating safety tips for kids and adults.
Tips include driving slowly on residential streets and wearing costumes that can be seen in the dark.
CR also had a good compilation of hidden Halloween hazards.
ShopSmart;) magazine put in its two cents, reminding parents of kids with allergies to go over some treat rules with their kids before they start diving into their candy hauls.
Also, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Halloween flashlights sold at Target had been recalled due to a burn hazard.
The mini- and standard-size flashlights were sold at Target in August and September for between $1 and $2.50.
For more info on the flashlights, call (800) 440-0680 or visit www.target.com.
Have a fun and safe holiday!
