39 tips to save money while dining out
It is no secret that eating at a restaurant can be costly, although many have been more generous with their deals in the last year.
According to a post by The Coupon Sherpa, a recent study by Zagat indicated 33 percent of Americans polled now pay more attention to restaurant prices than in the past and 28 percent of diners have switched to cheaper restaurants.
In response, some restaurants have made changes to cut back on expenses. These changes can result in less food for your money, added surcharges and cheaper ingredients.
To help identify some of these tactics and avoid overspending, the Coupon Sherpa has put together a list of 23 ways restaurants save money.
Also, toward this same budget dining end, the site also put together a post documenting 16 strategies to save money eating out.
The strategies include watching what you drink, making a meal of appetizers and getting your food to go.
