Here are some of the prices being offered this week. Click on the name of the site or store for more information.

I will be updating this post as more deals spring up. If you spot any you’d like to add, comment below.

ONLINE

FTD has marked down its Valentine’s Day best-sellers, and has a great deal on a mixed rose bouquet: 12, 16-inch roses with a free vase and free chocolates for $29.99. Without the vase, it costs $19.99.

ProFlowers has 18 assorted roses, about 16 inches tall without a vase for $19.99. You also can get your choice of vases starting at $4.99.

Also at ProFlowers, enter the word “kick” at the place near the microphone in the top right for additional discounts.

— The site FlowerShopDeals.com aggregates some deals online as well, and is worth a look. It also has tips for ordering flowers online. It also rates the florists and notes pros and cons.

IN STORES

Furst Florist has Telefloral and FTD specials, as well as a dozen premium roses for $24.99 (cash and carry — wrapped nicely without vase) and a special on carnations which you can buy a dozen for $12.99 and get a dozen free.

“A lot of people like to get them delivered at the workplace. We believe our busiest day for delivery will be Friday,” said Gina Furst, manager at Furst Florist.

Furst said there are Valentine’s Day arrangements starting at $19.99.

The store also will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, and will be available for same-day delivery that day. Call Furst at (937) 223-1213. The store is at 1306 Troy St, Dayton.

Oakwood Florist has a dozen roses arranged with vase and greenery for $50, and a Hugs and Kisses Bouquet for $34.95. The store is at 2313 Far Hill Ave. Call (937) 293-1196.

Flowerama has a classic dozen roses for $49.99 and a Valentine Special two roses and a stargazer lily in designer vase for $24.99.

Flowerama has shops in Huber Heights, Riverside and Kettering.

— And, of course, the cheapest flowers usually can be found at area grocery stores. Meijer will have a dozen roses for $15 starting Thursday (and long-stemmed for $25), Walmart right now has them a dozen roses for $15, and Kroger has a dozen roses for $19.99 and a dozen in a vase for $29.99.

At Kroger, you can also get various Valentine’s Day bouquets starting at $7.99.
