Kroger seasonings added to recall list
There are more developments in the recall of products containing hydrolyzed vegetable protein, and it again is hitting close to home.
In addition to the Kroger onion soup and dip mixes recalled at the beginning of this month, Kroger also has recalled some seasonings for the same suspicion of salmonella.
Kroger California Seasoning Blend Garlic Powder and Kroger Special Seasoning Blend Lemon Pepper were recalled Monday, March 15, according to the Kroger site.

Now that Bush is out of office, the Obama administration is taking seriously safety issues…hence all the new recall notices for food, cars, etc. You can thank Bush and the conservatives for making us so unsafe the past 8 year and sweeping safety issues under the carpet.

wow -is there anything that people won’t blame on Bush? I’m not a fan but - really? The simple truth is that the FDA tests millions of products every year (as does the CSC) stuff slips through - or gets sidelined due to bigger (more money) projects. We get food recalls because plant safety inspectors are HUMAN, and miss stuff. We get car recalls because the companies are so huge that they (not the president)feel it’s more cost effective to move forward and clean up the damage later. That’s simply life in a consumer driven society. If you want the regulations to be more strict, prepare to pay a lot more for everything you buy, and prepare to wait a really long time to get it…I think American’s in general have already made it really clear that we don’t want to pay much for anything and by golly, we do not want to wait.
