Applebee’s offers free meals to veterans, Red Robin offers free appetizers
Applebee’s is proving there is a such thing as a free meal.
The national restaurant chain is offering free meals to U.S. veterans and active duty services members today in honor of Veteran’s Day.
All one has to do is show proof of military service by wearing a uniform or showing a U.S. uniform services identification card, U.S. uniform services retired identification card, current leave and earnings statement, a photograph in a uniform, veterans organization card or DD214.
Free menu items include a house sirloin steak, bacon cheese burger, oriental chicken salad, three-cheese chicken penne, fiesta lime chicken and double crunch scrimp.
The free meal is available for dine-in only and does not include a tip of gratuity.

Thank you, Applebee’s for this day being in our honor. My wife and I just returned from one of your restaurants. The wait was short (lot’s of veterans!), only 20 min wait. Servers were fantastic! Food was in large portions, delicious, and served very quickly. My wife and I (a veteran, also)thank you. Our treatment today at your establishment was 1000% better than any treatment at a VA center dealing with Vietnam era vets. The U.S. population spat upon us and called us “baby killers” upon our return. You honored us, fed us, and told us: “You’re not that…Thank you for trying to save a country from Communism.” Myself, my wife, my children… will not forget you for this day. Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. Your profound but simple gesture has changed my heart. There are good people out there.

Thanks Applebees. Today we honor our Vets. In my time we were “baby killers”. Your small gesture meant a lot. Rich Eckhardt

A man never realizes all of its capabilities, while chained to the ground. We have to take off and conquer the heavens.
