Off the bandwagon
Considering their recent history, Browns fans probably should resist any urge to gloat, but: while Cleveland is in a state of euphoria over its team’s Monday Night Football victory against the Super Bowl champion New York Giants Oct. 13, fans of Ohio’s other pro football team are in a different state entirely. According to a front page story in the Cincinnati Enquirer, Bengals backers are bailing out. Sunday’s game in Cincinnati against Pittsburgh officially is sold out, but a lot of those ticket holders are trying to dump them through online agencies; more than 3,000 are available on StubHub.com. For the Nov. 2 game against Jacksonville, 4,100 are available, including some with an asking price of $24, which is $40 below face value. — D.L. Stewart, Staff Writer
